I visited at the end of winter 2014. The apartment we had ticked all the boxes : beautiful decor, amazing view, huge balcony, lovely kitchen and a really wonderful bed. The jacuzzi in a storm is both beautiful and inadvisable (for fear of electrocution) but we did it anyway. The whole establishment makes huge efforts to be as eco as is possible on the grid near the centre of a tourist town. They recycle, use organic waste for the garden, and time that jacuzzie so that it wastes less energy.
Admittedly, it is an urban stay, so one must be prepared for the creature comforts that come with urban - the gentle tide of traffic that starts early and street parking as opposed to offstreet parking. They do little to detract from the experience, and you can do yoga on the balcony looking at the sea, so if you're going to enjoy central Plett, its busy social life and its sandy beach, Stone Cottage will add a sense of the natural to your stay. And you can walk to 'town' in five minutes. Maybe less.
