This is the 5 star version of big name hotels in a boutique setting!! Aquavit is stunning!! (Think The Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, St. Regis, but in a boutique hotel size).
The property is magnificent perched on a hill with views of the entire bay. The room was incredibly spacious! Closets galore! I love it when rooms have a ton a storage space because then I get to completely unpack and have everything at my disposal! Such a silly thing, but yet so important!!
The breakfast was out of this world! It was our best breakfast during our 16 day stay in South Africa!
Linda and Ole were such gracious hosts! Their attention to detail left me speechless. The breakfast was served with linen napkins. The food had little touches of lavender buds as decoration. The quality of the breakfast was fabulous! The bathrooms had towel warmers. Towel warmers!! Once you use a towel warmer, it's so hard to go back to normal cold towels at home! :). The room had turn-down every night! The internet was reliable and fast. There is absolutely nothing I can fault in my 3 night stay at Aquavit.
Linda and Ole know what they're doing! And they do it very well! I would stay at Aquavit again and again if I were in South Africa again!!!
Let's just say that this was our best hotel accommodation in our entire trip!
We HIGHLY recommend this property!!More
