We stayed here for five nights in Room #2 overlooking the pool deck. Everything about this B&B is first class all the way; rooms, linens, toiletries, breakfast service etc.
The view from all the rooms overlooking the Bay is spectacular as it is at breakfast on the upper deck.
Ole and Linda, our hosts, are American and had this B&B specially built for guests. They are always around and are very accomodating with information, reservations etc.
There is a guest lounge on the lower floor at pool level and Ole has a beautiful wine cellar with a good selection of wines for sale at a reasonable price.
Parking out front is available for all rooms.
Unfortunately, restaurants are not within walking distance, however, Ole has an arrangement with a driver who will drop you off and return on time for a reasonable fee.
We woulkd definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: All rooms face the pool and the view, but #1 and 2 are the nicest.

We love clean, modern, beautifully furnished, guest houses with attentive hosts and good service. Aquavit fills all our needs and we keep coming back each year for more.

The place is uber-smart and full of attractive local art. Breakfasts on the terrace, overlooking Plett Bay, with a view for miles (OK Kilometres!) are special and Linda and Ole are very good hosts.

The pool area is small, but you have your own poolside patio area, with loungers and, again, that amazing view across the bay. We use the same room each year, but larger, more luxurious rooms are available. Beds are comfy, linens are good quality and the rooms are just to our taste.

Aquavit is what an upmarket guest house should be. We love it.

Room Tip: All the ground floor rooms are good

The guest house is beautifully designed and really stands out among the other properties. Our hosts were so lovely and friendly whilst also non intrusive. The breakfast is fantastic and there are lots of nice touches that make it very special. Our room was so beautiful and we didn't want to leave. If you are in Plett then look no further!

My wife and I stayed at Aquavit for 4 nights in room No.1 during our holiday to South Africa and the Garden Route during March 2017. From getting there we were made to feel very special, Linda and Ole are wonderful hosts. The property is magnificent, a real 'to die for' house, with magnificent attention to detail in all the decor, furniture and ornaments, paintings etc. with a really modern and clean feel. Room 1 is fantastic, with a huge bath room and patio doors which open out to the swimming pool and beautiful view over Plettenberg Bay. Plettenberg itself is a grea base for a stay, there are some brilliant restaurants either in Plettenberg or neighboring towns and lots of sites of interest within a 1 hour drive, Linda and Ole made all our restaurant bookings for us using their knowledge and recommendation. If like us you are travelling the Garden Route do stay at Aquavit, it fully deserves its No.1 status as the best B&B in Plettenberg and we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Room No.1 is beautiful and spacious with a view over Plettenberg Bay

The service started before we were in the country. Our plans meant that we would be there by 7.00pm. On contacting Linda, she advised us that it was no problem and had booked us a table at a near by Restaurant (Fat Fish). Excellent restaurant. On arrival it was a glass of wine and a quick tour of the guest house and room. The whole place is tasteful and elegant. Sleep was peaceful and breakfast superb. The only problem we had was that we were there for only one night. The view from the room was beautiful overlooking the bay. My wife fell in love with dogs. If we ever get to come back we will be staying a bit longer.

Room Tip: Terrace rooms give great view of the bay
