Just back from two weeks in California and Arizona. I stumbled across Jerome and the Ghost City Inn when looking for somewhere to spend a night between Vegas and Phoenix. Our only regret is that we only stayed there for 1 night. What an absolutely awesome place. Jackie (owner) was so welcoming, informative and helpful. (And oh, those cookies....!)
We stayed in the Western Room - it was perfect! The room had so many little quirky details that all fitted together so well. (And a massive comfy bed!) And sitting on the balcony looking out over the valley and watching the world go by was so relaxing - I could've sat there all night.
I've read some of the odd criticisms of this hotel and truly wonder what these people want sometimes. This place was exactly as described on their website and more (in all the best ways).
If you want to stay somewhere really special and unique in a gorgeous location with personality and a real history, then stay here. If you want generic hotel blandness then please please stay away - you do not derserve the experience of the Ghost City Inn or Jerome.
