Since we fully expected a rustic cabin we were quite pleased with our accommodation. If you are expecting something more, you will be disappointed. The location is in a very quiet part of town in the Lazy Trout Big 10 cabins, and has ample parking space.

I would have rated higher if not for a few things that could easily have been fixed at little expense to make the stay more comfortable.

The shower head was awful and could be replaced at small expense.

The kitchen was well appointed with new toaster, coffee maker, and microwave but the only fry pan was a very small, old and scratched up teflon pan that was about useless! Some of the outlets would not work properly and it would only take a small effort to sweep the cobwebs off of exterior surfaces.

The couches were quite old and uncomfortable. But we tried to overlook that since we knew we were getting a rustic cabin.

We appreciated the fact that we could cook in the cabin and there were plenty of dishes and all the utensils that we needed. The exception being the pots and pans.

We found the bed to be comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The bedding, covers and shams were very nice.

We did use the propane grill and it worked well. We thought that TV and internet was a great bonus.

I'm from Brazil, and I went there with my boyfriend's family (11 people) to the New Year. We stayed 4 days in a big cabin with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, TV room with beds, fireplace room, kitchen etc, and everything was perfect. The cabin is very charmed, warm and the nature is beautiful. Good beds, good showers, equipped kitchen, big dinner table. Everything was very clean. We have awesome holidays there!!
Wi-Fi worked, but not fast. And you need to stop in a grocery store before arrive there, because there aren't grocery store near.
I would like to go back there for sure.

Stayed here very last minute for New Years Eve to go and enjoy some snow. Very nice and overall would recommend highly! Stayed in Motel room #5 wth a very comfortable king bed. The room has been recently renovated, with fresh pine boards on all the walls. New comfortable mattress, Direct TV in room and DVD player. Small corner with mini-fridge and microwave. Also small folding table on wall. Could use maybe a bench to sit on or more clothing hooks for all your ski gear. Bathrooms are still on the older side but they were clean and provided very hot water so passes in my book! Great place to stay while in Greer and fantastic value. Market next door for snacks/drinks. Otherwise food options limited for general area. Heating in winter is via a plug in heater which works very well, just crack a window for air circulation as rooms is not vented very well. No AC for summer though has new ceiling fan.

Room Tip: Most rooms offer Queen bed with bunk beds so if it's just 2 of you try for a king!

The location and view was perfect, the motel is minutes from Greer Lakes. Our stay was relaxing and quiet. Staff was very nice. Very neat cabin/primitive look and feel. Perfect fishing lodge.

There is no A/C during summer months the rooms can get quite stuffy even on cool nights. The bathrooms are tiny and a little dirty. Spider webs in the room. No stationary bed frame the bed was on an easily rolled metal frame. Staff hours are late opening and early close so if you need anything pre plan around their schedule. No onsite cafe/restaurant not a huge deal because you can drive further into Greer to get to a couple, but would be nice if there was a small diner onsite.

Stayed in a cabin rental in the Juniper cabin which allows dogs. That, along with the location are the only good things I can say about the cabin. When we arrived in the early evening we discovered that the batteries did not work to the TV remote. We were unable to reach anyone by phone because the cell service is not good in Greer. Finally got the batteries and remote reprogrammed on day 2 of our stay. We were not able to log into the Internet until day 2 because the Internet code in the info booklet was old along with much of the information in it. Light fixtures in one of the rooms did not work. The carpet in the bedrooms stained and filthy and so were the couches. The cabin was not cleaned well and had dust on all of the end tables. Needless to say, I will not be going back to that business.
