Pros:
The location and view was perfect, the motel is minutes from Greer Lakes. Our stay was relaxing and quiet. Staff was very nice. Very neat cabin/primitive look and feel. Perfect fishing lodge.

Cons:
There is no A/C during summer months the rooms can get quite stuffy even on cool nights. The bathrooms are tiny and a little dirty. Spider webs in the room. No stationary bed frame the bed was on an easily rolled metal frame. Staff hours are late opening and early close so if you need anything pre plan around their schedule. No onsite cafe/restaurant not a huge deal because you can drive further into Greer to get to a couple, but would be nice if there was a small diner onsite.

Stayed in a cabin rental in the Juniper cabin which allows dogs. That, along with the location are the only good things I can say about the cabin. When we arrived in the early evening we discovered that the batteries did not work to the TV remote. We were unable to reach anyone by phone because the cell service is not good in Greer. Finally got the batteries and remote reprogrammed on day 2 of our stay. We were not able to log into the Internet until day 2 because the Internet code in the info booklet was old along with much of the information in it. Light fixtures in one of the rooms did not work. The carpet in the bedrooms stained and filthy and so were the couches. The cabin was not cleaned well and had dust on all of the end tables. Needless to say, I will not be going back to that business.

This motel is a modest place with all the niceties except a telephone. Lovely renovated rooms; we stayed in #5 with a king bed. The linens were fresh and felt new and the bed was very comfortable. We loved that they were pet friendly and we brought a coverlet as requested so our little pooch could sleep on the bed with us each night. And free Wi Fi was very appreciated. But the best thing we can say is the staff was very attentive to our needs. There was no coffee machine in the room, but freshly made and free in the little General Store every morning at 7:00am. My husband being a retired plumber was concerned with the wobbly toilet. A maintenance person was there in ten minutes and explained that the bathroom had not been renovated yet. We had fresh towels every afternoon, and when we left, we needed a little ice for our cooler which they gave us at no charge. We will definitely stay here if we are ever in Greer again. Beautiful surroundings!!

The cabin and surrounding areas are absolutley wonderful,,,The attitude from the store clerk and the supposedly best fly fishing private ponds in az was a joke. The clerk was rude and didnt really care to answer any questions about the private fishing. However the owners were very kind and even recommended that we didnt pay to fish in their "best fly fishing spot in az,,,A flyfishermans paradise"...but try fishing the river and nearby lakes instead due to the fact that birds had been diving in thier ponds and have eaten most of the fish....WOW....Thanks for the tip Ted. You might want to put that on your website...we ended up catching plenty of fish outside of greer....Big lake,,luna lake..nelsons and east fork of the black river,,,,over all the trip was awesome and we look forward to booking again,

The rooms have all the basic necessities. If you are a nature lover and just need a place to sleep, this is the perfect place. The little store is right next door - very convenient. They even had rental movies.
