We stayed a week here as a base for our trip to Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome. The unit itself was very nice, huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub, comfy bed. The furniture in the living room was a little hard. Very clean. Nice kitchen. The layout of the resort is a little weird. We felt that the units were right on top of each other. We had a nice balcony, but it looked directly onto another unit. So close we could see what our neighbors were having for breakfast. We had cooler nights so did not get to use the pool which was too bad as it looked lovely. Adults only trip, so we had no experience with the playground. Checkin/checkout was efficient. Overall, we had a nice experience there, but will most likely look into staying in Sedona proper when we return to the area. Did RCI exchange for this property

Ideal quiet place to explore the area.
Date:March 10, 2012
Best things about resort It's small so it doesn't get crowded. Selected Free WiFi. But very patchy especially if you are in East Units where it is very poor and the IT man could not understand why it went on and off. Other local Wi Fi servers were unavailable to us. The studios in the East Block
is to be avoided at all costs. If assigned ask to be moved. No stove top but a small portable oven and skillet which alone fill the available sink area only one at a time even have to put the both away even the coffee percolator.
Review : The Units vary based on feedback from clients. In our studio you could only see the TV if you looked over your right shoulder as the sofa does not face the TV. In the newer units the TV has been placed above the sink. Dishwasher and stove top added. We reported the microwave was not working and the maintenance man said he wpuld suggest to management that it be replaced, it never was. Why they have not upgraded the old units is beyond comprehension? The information states a spa bath but in the unit we had there was only a standard bath. The reception are not aware of what is going on as the activities sheet they give is based on Sedona Pines, the sister site in Sedona. They had very little idea when art and craft s were taking place at their own resort. When we arrived there was no welcome meeting invite, but I soon got an invite when I asked the concierge for details of local attractions.
The road the resort is on is very busy and there isn't much to the property at all. The outside pool was small but there was an absence of enough sunbeds . Knowledge beyond local area and Sedona was non existent.
Overall it's very nice resort if you are out all day and do not want to cook and eat in the unit, expect Northern Arizona information and do not want to use your computer in your room.

We stayed at this timeshare resort through RCI exchange and really enjoyed it. Everything was fairly new, in great working order, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A great base for exploring Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, Red Rocks area, etc. I would highly recommend it.

I stayed at Highlands Resort for a weekend during the first week of November. My daughters and I shared a 1 bedroom unit. Check-in was quick and the staff were polite and helpful. The unit was very clean, modern and comfortable. The king bed in the master bedroom was comfortable, while my other daughter slept on the sofa bed and complained it wasn't comfortable at all. The unit was fully stocked with dishes, appliances, toiletries, etc. Stainless appliances worked well. Flat screen TV's in living room and bedroom. Very large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and large separate shower. It also included a water closet.

From the living room was a large balcony with outside patio furniture. It was cold so we didn't use it, but I can imagine in the summer it would be a nice place to have breakfast or dinner.

The grounds were well maintained. A small playground was available for children. We were told about the pool and adult only outside jacuzzi but like I said previously, it was too cold to use. The grounds have an on-site laundry that is free to wash and dry.

This place is new and it looks like they may build more units. It isn't too far from Sedona (10-15 minutes). If you don't want to travel to Sedona to eat, you can go into Cottonwood (which is 5 minutes) There are stores and a Sizzler restaurant.

This place is a good staying point if you plan to explore the area (Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff) and even if you do a day trip to the Grand Canyon, this is a good place to come back to.

I would stay again at Highland

This timeshare is only a few years old. It is located about 15 munutes from Sedona, and it is a very easy drive. The units are beautiful! The kitchens have everything that you need to prepare meals. When we arrived the table was all set up for us to dine, and there was even a bottle of wine waiting. The pool area has a great view, and the clubhouse is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you like to golf, the course is right there. You are only minutes from spectacular hiking, and about 25 minutes from Jerome. Since it is not right in Sedona you can save a lot of money on dining. Regular priced stores are located within 10 minutes. If you are not happy with your view, just go and sit by the pool area!

Room Tip: Plan ahead.
