“Clean, friendly, atmospheric, convenient-- comfortable and good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2012

The Bisbee Inn isn't exactly what I've come to expect as a "Bed & Breakfast" place, but I'm not complaining. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished with antiques and hand-made quilts. The owner is super nice and happy to chat, and her son who takes over at 5pm is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed them a lot.
Breakfast is do-it-yourself since the desk isn't manned until 9. The kitchen is stocked with the basics-- OJ, coffee, milk, cereal, breads, etc... and there's another refrigerator to keep your own stash of food in, if you want to cook, or if you want to have your restaurant leftovers heated up in their microwave for lunch.
Parking is convenient. Nice restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, you'd want an upstairs room at the back on weekends because of no...

This is NOT a bed and breakfast, it is a bed and serve yourself if you can find anything. The kitchen is very dirty and has not much in the way of food. The owners, Mother and Son are very nice, she is full of herself. The rooms are nice, BUT FILTHY with old dust all over on every place it can be, it makes you wonder what else is full of dirt! ! ! Look for some other place to stay, the town has others.

For the same price as a chain motel on the outskirts of Bisbee, you can stay in a beautiful historic building in the heart of the old town, with an eccentric assortment of antique furnishings in the rooms and common areas, and photos of old Bisbee on the walls. The staff is friendly (and sympathetic to touring bicyclists in particular.) You get free use of a kitchen and dining area stocked with cereal, toast, coffee, tea, fruit, soda pop, etc; plus a TV room with a bookshelf full of interesting titles. There's a fridge in the common area where you can store your own provisions. The restaurants, brewpub, shops, and mining museum in old Bisbee are all within a couple of blocks and easy to walk to. I recommend Santiago's, my favorite of any Mexican restaurant I've tried in Arizona; and the mining museum, which is not just Smithsonian-affiliated but actually Smithsonian-quality.

Although the parking area is not adjacent, I suspect most guests will be happy to park once and walk everywhere: old Bisbee is compact with narrow streets, so walking is faster and easier than driving. We stayed here in spring 2010 and 2011, and the next-door bar mentioned in some older reviews was no longer in operation. On Friday and Saturday nights you may hear some nightlife from the St Elmo's Fire bar in Brewery Gulch; if that's an issue, you might avoid the front rooms (but then you'll miss a grand view of the vintage buildings teetering on the hillsides above town.) Consider that Bisbee was a wild-west mining town, after all, and unlike various pretenders throughout the west, it's still populated by real people (many of them real characters), not by actors dressing up for the tourists. Isn't that why you came?

For an old historic building, it was what you would expect . . . but bed & breakfast? NOT! It was advertised as a bed & breakfast, but it was not like any we had stayed at before. At Hotel La More, you serve yourself whatever you can find in the kitchen: cereal, bagel, juice. The coffee maker did not work well and made awful coffee. Our room was close to the street, so we could hear the music from the bars all night.

After we got home, my husband discovered 30 pills of his medication were missing and I am missing a tank top. While we were out sightseeing, somebody came into our room & emptied the wastebasket, and apparently helped himself to our stuff.
We will never return

Stayed at the Bisbee Inn this past weekend (3-25-12) with my boyfriend and a group of friends to investigate the ghostly claims. We booked the most haunted rooms (11, 23, 15 and 7) and were not disappointed! My boyfriend and I had room 11, which has claims of a miner who likes to slam the bathroom door and move toiletries. Didn't have any activity like that, but there definitely was a creepy vibe in the bathroom with the door closed! We did have some personal experiences - the ghost cat meowing in room 23 was captured on digital recorder. Also a mans voice captured outside of room 15. We had some orbs on camera as well. Haven't gone through all of the evidence yet, though. Ghost investigation aside, the hotel is charming, cozy and quaint! We loved it! The location is awesome, the view we had from room 11 was great. The local flavor was entertaining - the front porch of the hotel is great for people-watching as it overlooks Brewery Gulch! The staff is friendly and informative, the beds are comfy and the breakfast room/kitchen is lovely. Although I would have liked some fresh fruit and bagels for the continental breakfast - toast, cereal and coffee was sufficient! I'm sad to see that the hotel is for sale and hope new owners will continue to maintain its charm and authenticity. We'll be back for sure!

Room Tip: I suggest a second floor room, facing the West for the best views!
