Have stayed here many times and love the rooms and Angel is great to work with. I love having a refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen in the room. All the rooms are very tastely decorated and great for a couple or if you are traveling with family or kids. Who wants to eat out all the time! Stay in, relax, and enjoy the views. Lots of history in this place. And a rare elevator in Bisbee! The only reason we don't stay here now is because we live locally, but we tell our our friends to stay here. Easy distance to downtown and you will love being away from the noise at night.

Our writers group (Saguaro Romance Writers, Tucson, Arizona --) has its retreat there once a year therefore we are in the building most of the day. There were thirteen of us, we used one room as a hospitality suite and we bring food for breakfast and lunch Saturday, breakfast on Sunday. We can easily split into work groups and go to different rooms to brainstorm and write.

Any dislikes about the place? None. The owner, Angel Hsiung is great, if members of our group have mild handicaps, but understand, there are stairs within every room and no ramps, so severe handicaps might be an issue. There are front steps (about ten altogether to the front lobby. There is a side alley, but you already have to have your room key to access it and the pavement is broken getting to it. There are some steps within there and steps and corridors on every floor.
Check in is limited between, 3-7 PM on a lower doorway on Howell Avenue. Check out is at 11 AM, You have to settle your bill when you arrive, You return your key in a black box in the main lobby. Top locks on the doors can be a little problematic (there are two locks on each door) but you get used to them.
The Internet worked, the TV was huge (we were in room 103) and we could have camped in the room and never come out.

Parking is a few spaces on Howell Avenue and the municipal parking lot, so it is limited, but this is Bisbee. Parking is limited everywhere.
Shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance. Just remember it is Bisbee and it is hilly.

The views are fantastic. What you would expect in this interesting former mining town. In Room 201, where we had our hospitality suite, there was a porch you could sit on. Nice views of interesting houses on surrounding mountains during the day, if you know your constellations you could watch the stars at night.

To sum up, for our purposes, it is great. It is a good place for a couple of nights. The hotel cat is a gray cat who hangs around the main entrance. She will greet you but there is no question whose property it is.

We had suites #303 and 402. Both were affordable and spacious, very clean and quiet, with small private decks. This place has great character and comfy beds. Angel treated us like visiting royalty.

I was traveling with my elderly parents and booked a one night stay on a Thursday. I spoke directly with the manager of the hotel and she said there was a handicap entrance (very narrow alley at side of building with no good place to turn around!) Besides that, we got the biggest room but the carpet was old and dirty.....the beds were horrible! They only had one space heater in the main room and it was behind the couch! There was a huge 48 inch TV in a sitting room the size of a large closet where only two people could sit on the love seat and watch. I had to go find a chair and drag it in to watch TV with my folks. The whole place felt like you were walking downhill or uphill and the deck outside did not feel very "safe". The worst part was that I found a brochure outside the visitor's center on our way to dinner advertising a special rate! which was $100 cheaper than what I booked it for....having asked mngt. before coming down if there were any specials and this was not mentioned over the phone. I took the brochure back to mngt and asked for that price and she said "no"...I had to present this "coupon" at the time of registration. What a rip off! All we wanted to do was play cards at the dining room table but the cheap chairs and table they had made that a little risky. I had to find 2 of the 6 chairs that weren't wobbly so I wouldn't worry about my parents falling over! And the mngr had to bring us a floor heater to take the chill off! I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

I stayed in room 201, and loved the huge deck overlooking Bisbee. Smoking is permitted on the deck, and my husband spent a lot of time there. Our two bedroom suite was huge (1300 sq. feet) and clean, although paint could have been touched up, and the Formica kitchen counter had damage. Our bed was similar to a Tempur-pedic, and was comfortable. The towels were large and fluffy. There is no daily maid service, but extra towels and sheets are provided in the room.

Each room in the hotel is actually an apartment, with a full kitchen and a full sized fridge. We had a small room with a loveseat and a large screen tv and stereo, and also a larger living room with two sofas and a futon. We didn't hear much noise from surrounding rooms, and it was also quiet at nighttime.

There are steps up to the main entrance. Although there is an elevator, there are a few steps up or down to certain rooms on some floors. So if you use a wheelchair, you may want to ask the manager about your options.

This hotel is two doors away from the Copper Queen Hotel. Main Street, with its shops, are an easy walk. It really is the perfect place to stay while in Bisbee.
