Four people on boat July 31. Caught 2 small silver salmon. The drizzly day turned into beautiful sunshine by noon.
We would have been totally content to just enjoy a beautiful boat trip in the bay, but our guide had a rather surly personality.
I guess we were spoiled by the numerous guides we had encountered on our bucket-list Alaskan adventure--they were happy to be spending their summer in scenic Alaska, and were even happier to point out wildlife, share history, and make you feel welcomed. I'm sorry I spent real money on this excursion.

We had a great day of Halibut fishing Captain Marq was a delight to fish with and helped us reel in some great halibut. I highly recommend this if your looking for laughs and fish. It was a great day at sea!

Thanks,

Flew in from Arizona to fish in Valdez with this charter. Rented a cabin for three nights to fish with this charter. Went to meet the captain in the morning to head out to sea, except he cancelled our trip due to bad weather even though their website claims they fish rain or shine. I spent over $1500 to go fishing with them and it never happened. Go with a charter that has better reviews.

Trip was canceled to weather and was still charge $50.00/person. Poor weather they cannot fish in the Gulf of Alaska they give you the option to fish inside protected areas, and that if you decide to not fish under these conditions, you will forfeit $50.00/person of the charter price conditions.

Wanted to go fishing in the Gulf of Alaska and paid upfront for the experience. Once we arrived at the boat we were told by the Capt. that a gale warning was in effect and he would only take us out a few miles from the harbor if we wanted to fish. When we decided not to pay to fish only in the protected area of the harbor we were told we'd have to forfeit $50 per person for not going out. We also, had to call and remind Mel that we needed the remainder of our funds reimbursed. Last time we try to use this charter company.
