I would recommend this as a 3 star English standard hotel and glad to have visited.
Getting there:
Airport was good on arrival. 25 dollars tourist tax to be paid when you arrive. We used the small bank kiosk (join the Q) on the left on entry into airport building. We paid 21 Euros each, others paid £ 18 GBP or 25 USD. If you don;t want to Q at the bank kiosk, then follow the tour guides who will take your name and pay on your transfer coach though they will charge £ 25 GBP on the coach. The transfer was a quick 20 mins to the hotel.
Room: Top Tip - email the hotel direct before you go for any special requests. We did this and asked for a top floor quiet room. This is what we had in block 16 so thanks for that. There were provided 2 bottles of water each day FOC. Small bars of soap and small tubes of liquid shampoo/conditioner and liquid shower gel and body lotion. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Nice size room, good balcony, tired bathroom but ok. European plugs, but only 2 in the room which were used for table lamps, so we took a 4 socket set to use for our gizmos. There are only 8 blocks on site numbered block 16, 21-23, and 24-27. Block 16 balconies were beach facing (East) but set back. Blocks 21-23 were pool facing (North) and mainly shady and cooler during the day. Blocks 24-27 pool facing (South) were sunnier and hotter during day. Blocks 24-27 were double blocks but i don't think their north facing rooms were used as the new water park hotel is being built that side.
Building work: No worries, a bit going on, but didn't distract or detract from the holiday.
Restaurant: Sitting outside was better. Inside felt school canteenish, no real atmosphere / ambience. Food was extensive selection catering for all tastes, so something for everyone. The best bits for us were the outside BBQ, and inside the pasta station and min pizza station all cooked to order - excellent. Plenty of other food, particularly pastries and breads.
Service: Variable service with some excellent praoctive wine waiters (like Mohamed) outside, to other waiters that we're reactive and you're looking around wondering when you are goind to get a wine top up etc.
Drinks: Good selection of cocktails. White wine was really good and refreshing. Rose was okay. Red was not so good.
WIFI: paid $20 for wifi for the week. Got signal in all public areas, but only occassional signal in the room and on the beach.
Getting home: Airport was mega security conscious and the flight left on time, But we went through two separate scanning machines in different parts of the airport for hand luggage. Two body pat downs. Fill in a departure card. Write your passport number and name in paper books/files in 4 different books at different locations in the airport. Then unpack all of your hand luggage for swiping at another station. We left on time but just felt a lengthy process.
Overall a good holiday, with good weather in a good hotel, with good food choice, but didn't like the departure process at the aiport as it was a bit OTT.

Spent a week here relaxing in the middle of March. The hotel itself is not huge but everything they do they do well.
Let’s start with the food, yes we have been to other AI hotels that have huge selections of food, this is not one of the. They have just about the right amount of choice for each sitting. All the food is hot and every evening they do a BBQ outside, we never went hungry. One nice touch is they offer waiter service for drinks at your table. They do have an Italian which you can use once during your stay, what can I say, a fantastic 4 course meal. Also they have a snack bar on the beach which serves different snacks every day and has a covered seating area.
The pool area is great with one heated and one not heated pool. Swim up bar in the heated pool. Pool area leads down to the beach and jetty that goes out the house reef. Snorkeling here is amazing, the reef is so healthy and offers amazing clouds and a huge variety of fish. The whole resort is spotlessly clean I did not see any rubbish throughout our stay.
The room was a good size, great air con with a fab balcony overlooking the pool, safe, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers.
All the staff walk around with smiles on their faces and really make this place friendly and go out of their to make sure you are enjoying yourselves. Entertainment team work tirelessly all day with the usual, volleyball, aqua aerobics, yoga as well as some of the evening shows.
The only one thing I’d say as a negative is they could do with another bar for the evening as at the moment there is only one, maybe when the new section is complete they will have one more. The drinks are fine the red wine is pretty good and the beer nice a cold.
We are already thinking of returning again next year we enjoyed our stay so much and it was 30 degs all week.
Well done to all the staff and managers who work so hard at this hotel, thank you.

Decided to take a sneaky week in Egypt before returning to Hurghada in April for 2 weeks. Got fed up with the cold and snow in the UK.
Found hotel to be very pleasant and not very busy. Had a few teething problems to start with like no double bed but this was quickly rectified by the management. Diving off the home reef was excellent especially as we found the big resident turtle. Over the week food seem to be very samey so was glad only staying for the week.
New entertainment manager started towards the end of the week and the shows got better.

Ok yes there is building work next to the hotel, But it doesn’t impact on the hotel, pool or reef, just a few rooms on the right of the building. Staff are polite, happy and work hard to ensure you have an amazing stay. Rooms big clean and bed comfy. Bedding and towels changed everyday, water given everyday kettle tea and coffee in room. Pool clean one heated, pool bar open all day. Staff happy friendly and excellent service. Choice of food wide and varied. House reef wonderful, even if it’s a bit of a walk on the pier to get to. Snorkelling everyday ( early morning best) animation team excellent. All in all couldn’t find fault in anything. Staff from managers to ground staff all ensure the stay was exceptional. Hope to book again soon.

We had a small problem with room but Yasser sorted it with ease .From then on room food drink great always a good choice. Now for the best part outside they have a long jetty which straddles a fantastic lagoon area on which you can watch board surfing .The great thing about this area is that it's very shallow which means no jet skis no tourist boats .That meant when you got to the end of the jetty you could snorkel over the coral in peace. We had heated pool on one side of the pool area which along with the garden area were kept immaculate. Now for a special mention Mohamed in the outside restaurant very attentive and always with a smile also the animation team were great always time to talk, and produced some great evening shows.
We will be back
