This was a great place to end our vacation. The surroundings were still and quiet except for the occasional moose, the scenery was breath taking even if Mt. Denali stayed slightly hidden, and the property was well maintained, clean, and just beautiful. Thanks for a great stay!

This was a beautiful place to stay. The view was breathtaking even though it was cloudy so we didn't get to see Denali. You could observe a beaver working in the pond from the large window in our room. Very clean. Tim was such a fantastic host and Peque was gracious as well as wonderful cook for a big and delicious breakfast. You will not go away hungry. Tim even made us a campfire and we made s'mores. So nice on a chilly night. The town of Talkeetna had many features to take in. We definitely would like to go back to visit all those unusual shops.

Room tip: The second floor has a beautiful view of Denali on a clear day!would love to go visit there again!

The Denali Overlook is a must stay if visiting Talkeetna. The view is absolutely stunning and will take your breath away. Mt. Denali is on the horizon. The accomdations are clean and outstanding. Modern with a,rustic charm. Room on the second or 3rd floor? No problem. Building has a dumb waiter to move your heavy luggage up or down. The owner Tim is a great guy. Food is very good. Plenty to eat. Comfortable beds, bath robes supplied. Large second level sitting room. Wifi on property free. Talkeetna is a must visit on any trip to Alaska. Great town true Americana. Amd if you go you have to stay at the Denali Overlook. If not you will be missing a great experience. Ask Tim about bear and Moose contacts around his property.

This is a great inn. I highly recommend it. The view of Denali outside our window was amazing. Tim was a great host -- welcoming and informative. The breakfast was varied and very good. We had a rental car, and it was a short, easy ride into downtown Talkeetna.

We did a self drive tour for a week this was the best stop. After rain/clouds/ some snow we had a perfect view of Mt Denali, not a cloud in the sky! Host gave a tour of the house when we arrived. Everything was clean, very comfortable public area and our room overlooked Mt Denali, what a view! Fire pit in the evening, lovely yard to enjoy the outside. Breakfast was made to order, large selection. Would love to come back for several days.

Room tip: Splurge on a room with a view of Mt. Denali
