“Keci Evi - a real relaxing oasis in the hills outside of Dalyan!”

Our family (children 8, 10 and 12 years old) really enjoyed Keci Evi. The house had everything we needed, very well equipped. The kids loved the pool and it took some time to get them out of it, in the mornings before leaving for our day trips and in the evenings before going to bed!

The road leading to Keci Evi is a bit bumpy in some places and it takes about 20 min to drive to Dalyan and about 15 min to drive to Iztuzu beach (which we loved!). The road leading to Dalyan follows the shoreline of the beatiful Sulungur lake. But if you are looking for peace and quiet (as we were) it is well worth the drive.

There are no disturbing neighbours or other noice. There's a small Mosque really close by and the first night we were surprised by the morning prayer at about 4.40 a.m. but then we got used to it and it didn't disturb us, on the contrary it added some cultural flavour.

We thought that the location of Keci Evi was a good base for day trips around the region. We visited Ölu-deniz and the Butterfly Valley (we saw no butterflies but it was still a beatiful place...), the ruins of Kaunos, took an all-day 12-island boattrip, went to the Datca Peninsula and drove through Marmaris on the way out, visited the almost deserted pebbly beach of Ekincik etc...

Since the house is located in the countryside in a really small village, be prepared to encounter some insects... They are drawn to the house by the lights as it gets dark. The girls in our family didn't enjoy the spiders much but our guys loved them and thought they were fascinating - so it all depends on your outlook how you experience things...

The view from the house is really great and it has several seating areas. The view is especially stunning at sunset!

The owners were really nice and helpful before, during and after our trip. They provided us with all the information we needed. There was also a useful guestbook in the house with practical information about the region and the culture.

We'we rented houses for five years in different countries and there is always the fear that you're going to be ripped of and the house won't be everything it has promised - but in this case we felt really safe all the way and the house really lived up to our expectations.

We recommend Keci Evi to anyone who wants to get away from the big tourist crowds and get a more authentic feel of the country.
