Anatolia Resort Hotel

Reviewed 24 April 2012

Me and my wife stayed in Anatolia resort for a week between the dates from 15/04 to 21/04/12 and I cant find words to explain. We found the rooms extremely clean and comfortable, we had deffinately enough space for two in our room. (stayed in the bungalows but main building rooms are pretty much the same size too) we had to travel a lot to reach Cirali but our stay in Anaotila resort worth all the trouble of that travelling all the way from Dubai. (Dubai to Istanbul with Emirates then Thy to Antalya and rented a car and drove to the hotel)
Waking up everyday with the sound of the chirping birds and mesmerizing smell of the orange trees was priceless. It was also so nice to have all these animals around (ducks, goose , chickens cat and dog living in a harmony and peace with eachother) Sucha a peaceful place. Hotel staff and the owner Mr Sinan were very attentive, hepful and courteous. They met our needs immediately and ensured that we were having a comfortable stay.We will deffiently stay again in Anatolia Resort.
Stay there I guarantee you wont regret.

This is the first review I have written - usually not too easily impressed but feel this hotel is definitely worth the time and trouble to write my impressions of it. First of all, Cirali beach and village are very quiet and this resort is at the even quieter end - surrounded by luscious lemon and lime groves. This is certainly rural Turkey, the groves are working groves not tourist showcases. It is not for you if you want lots of night life - the most noise you will hear will be from the village mosque and the chickens running about in the garden.

Another thing to bear in mind, this is not a British package holiday resort. Most of the tourists are Turkish and those that aren't are German - hence while English is spoken it may not be perfect. Sinan, the owner of the hotel, speaks good but not perfect English - but is always very willing to help in any way.

The hotel has a central building surrounded by several bungalows in superb gardens with free-range chickens, ducks etc running around - which provide wondufully tasty eggs for breakfast. We stayed in two bungalows that were light and airy with good air conditioning and well-appointed shower rooms. If you want your room cleaned you have to hand in the key in the morning. There is a video on the website of the hotel which is a very fair representation of it - in fact the bungalows were larger than expected.

The breakfasts were buffet style with plenty of choice in meats and cheeses - I must mention the delious olives, spreads and honey that are all home -produced! There was also either boiled eggs or omlette, alternating each day.

In the evening, we ate some of the time at the hotel and some of the time in the village. Previously in Turkey we have felt pressurised to eat in the hotel but here we were not - we were asked in the morning if we were as it is a set menu as they needed to know to get the appropriate amounts but if we said no that was the end to it - we were not asked again! When we did each the food was very good quality - there was a meze of starters and a hearty main course followed by dessert. They were very helpful as some of our party were vegetarian with strong likes and dislikes which they were happy to work around - providing a specific main course for them and ensuring there were plenty of starters they could have.

We a seriously thinking of returning again next year - something we have never done before having always preferred to go to new places....definitelya hotel/pension to be recommended.

Room Tip: We had the bungalows and they were lovely.....

We arrived here in late afternoon after a long and strenuous walk from Beycik. This was the second hotel on our holiday walking organised by Inntravel. Anatolia was a bit of a curate's egg - good in parts. The rooms were very pleasant and nicely furnished although ours was a little cramped. Our shower/wet room was very oddly shaped. The shower area was very small and consequently, because of the wet room style, flooded whenever we had a shower. When I washed my hair in the shower I very nearly flooded the bedroom as well. One of our friends in the next room even shared his shower with a frog on the first night! As I said, we did not arrive until late in the afternoon but there was some confusion about our rooms and one of our group (the one with the unwanted visitor) had to wait for half an hour for a room to be got ready. We got the impression they may have been overbooked. Also our rooms were not serviced during our stay (was this because it was Sunday?).
The food was good, except for the main courses, which rather lacked imagination. There were set menus, buffet style, with no variations possible. One anomaly, fresh orange juice was available at breakfast but only instant coffee if you didn't fancy Turkish tea or coffee. However my husband celebrated his birthday while we were here and they made him a birthday cake complete with one candle. To his embarrassment everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to him. This was a lovely gesture which was appreciated.
Although the Anatolia calls itself a resort hotel it did not have a pool. It is next door to a mosque, complete with muezzin calling the faithful to prayer several times a day. The beach is only a five minute walk away but rather stony - you need water shoes to walk on it in comfort.
All in all we had a pleasant stay here notwithstanding one or two 'niggles'.

BIG thanks to everyone at Anatolia we had an awesome seven days with you. Sinan was brilliant, his wife is an amazing cook and the whole team were really friendly and very efficient.

My partner and I went to Anatolia and Cirali for a relaxing seven day holiday and we were not disappointed. The rooms were brilliant the first room we stayed in which was a family size room was amazing! We did have to move to another room a few days later which was not a problem, it was still a nice room and clean but it was not quite as magical as the family room which was incredible!

We were there on a B&B basis but you can if you like go half board on days that you choose. This was great and we did this three times during our stay (we would ask Sinan in the morning). We were not disappointed, the dinners were delicious for example fresh fish, chocolate mousse, meat balls, cous cous, mezzes and delicious red wine. The tables are all in the garden so you are surrounded by candles, stars and fruit trees, amazing. We also would have a beer most nights before we ate or went out, this was great as you can sit on the sun loungers in the garden and relax.

Breakfast was delicious too, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, Turkish tea, fresh fruit, homemade jams, homemade cheese rolls, olives, cheese, tomatoes and much more.

The setting of Anatolia is fantastic, you are about a five minute cycle ride from the beach and the village. You can borrow bikes from Anatolia for the whole day. We would borrow the bikes and take them to the beach where we parked them either by our sunbeds or by the cafe which we were near, there were never any issues.

For the first few days we stayed on the beach nearest to Anatolia, this was great (Sami beach). If however you want to be near more restaurants and cafes, if you go to Sami beach and then turn right and continue straight you will come along the other end of the beach which is a little busier and you can have drinks and food delivered straight to your sun loungers.

We ate a few times in the village which were good, we had pizza in the pizza restaurant which was very good and went to The Lemon Tree. I would recommend having the casserole dishes in The Lemon Tree. I would also recommend the restaurant which is next to the travel agents and is at the end of the road close to the ATM bus, the food was very traditional and the staff were lovely.

We went on a boat trip for the day which was brilliant, lots of snorkeling and fresh fish and spaghetti for lunch.

We had a fantastic time and will definitely go back to Anatolia!
