I had originally booked one night at Frii to give me time to look for another place to stay in Canggu. I ended up staying for 5 nights instead! While there are a lot of inexpensive places to stay in the area, I loved staying at Frii for the following reasons: First, the bed and sheets felt amazing. After a long day out in the sun and surf, it was such a relief to come home to a cozy bed. Second: The room was neat and clean. Third: The room was sized just right for a solo traveller. I had enough space for all my stuff plus a roomy balcony. My friends would come over to hang out and we had a bit of breathing room. Fourth: I felt secure. Oftentimes, security is a concern when travelling through Indonesia. I was nice that they had a safe in the room and key card access. They also had surfboard lockers (you deposit your board at the reception desk and they keep inside a locked cage with surf board racks. Excellent for longboard storage!) Fifth: Breakfast at the roofdeck - Beautiful view and good food. I would defintely stay at Frii again!

Room Tip: I stayed in an ocean view room, however, the pool access room is great too. Its perfect for mid day hangs.

We Stayed in the hotel only for 1 night. But this massive concrete block doesn't has much character. Considering that there are so many cute little accommodation in old mans and canggu area. Also sad to see so many high rise buildings going up....
Breakfast was below average for this price.
But the rooms where very clean and the shower was amazing
Pool looks more like a corridor aquarium but still nice to chill

amazing staff was always so friendly and helpful. The food is great - free breakfast and convenient dinner if you want to stay in. The location is unbeatable - 5 minute walk to the beach in one direction, and 5 minute walk to local restaurants and surf boutiques in the other direction. OVERALL THE BEST HOTEL WE STAYED AT ... and we were traveling around Bali for a month and a half. Such a mellow vibe. Amazing cleanliness and service...they clean the rooms daily and do laundry if you pay.

Spent a total of 4 days, the staff was extremely friendly. the room is basic but comfortable and clean. the room however lacks a little hanging and wardrobe space with no hangers or cupboard.

the area is walking distance to echo beach with a row of nice fancy cafes and restaurants as well as a traditional warung.

the hotel provides a shuttle to semiyak square twice daily with surf boards and bicycles for rent. this place definitely is value for money with its services and amenities. will return for sure (:

We stayed at FRii Bali Echo Beach for a week shortly after it opened. First impressions were very good: lovely clean modern rooms, beautiful balconies with a view and nice pools, as well as a great restaurant.

We originally only booked for 3 days and ended up extending our stay as we liked the hotel so much. The staff were nice but did seem to be a lost when it comes to hospitality and customer service... much like the whole of Bali really. We asked them for some advice on how to go to the Gili islands and they just handed us a Lonely Planet guide!

I thought the restaurant was very, very good value for the money and there was a good range of food options. If you're bored with eating at the hotel, walk into town and there's an older couple cooking the best chicken satay you'll ever taste at the side of the road.

One slight issue with the hotel is it seems like it was poorly constructed, much like the rest of Bali!! We had lots of ants randomly in our room one day, but nothing that ruined our stay.

I really enjoyed our stay at Frii Bali Echo Beach and would say it's probably the best hotel that I stayed in Bali.

Room Tip: 2nd floor = best view
