Perhaps I had my expectations high after reading some of the reviews of this hotel on tripadvisor. This is a basic hotel with a number of issues (at least that I faced). This hotel is still not bad for a place like baramati. It may also be possible that I got the base category room and not the base plus one which I am told are all renovated.

The room - basic, no ammenities. CRT TV that did ok - one english channel (star movies). The air conditioning in this room was out of control. It was a wall unit that operated with a remote but was very difficult to control. It was set on 16 which I could not get to 24 . I doubled up the blanket and slept. Sometime at 3 am it decided to get to 25 degrees when I woke up sweating and adjusting the ac again.

The bathroom - the flush did not work and not did the shower. The hotel guys could fix the shower but told me that I needed to ush and hold hard the flush for it to worlk. The water in the tap and shower was very hot (it was 40 degrees celcius outside). The basin tap splashed hard making it very ddifficult to wash without getting ones clothese wet.

The food was not bad but spicy. The bar had a surprisingly good set of options. The bar itself however allowed people to smoke so it was impossible to sit there. Service was average.

Breaskfast was ok. Coffe was good.

Overall basic hotel which is very good by local standards. I am told there is not other option in baramati.

Room Tip: book as much ahead as possible to get the newer (base plus one) renovated rooms and insist on non sm...

City Inn at Baramati is the only decent option if you have to stay at Baramati. I stayed there in the last week of February 2012. Rooms were neat and clean much above your expectations. Food was good. Hotel has a bar with limited sitting capacity and sometimes full with local crowd making noise over there. Staff is courteous.

Room Tip: Nothing specific but not near the lift lobby.

One of the only livable hotel in Baramati with average facilities. The rooms are not dirty and Linnen are clean. Food quality varies with every visit. If you need good service then keep demanding. My impression is that this is frequented by a lot of foreigners from the industries in the region, there are different standards of service for Indians and Foreigners. You need to be either influential or foreigner to get good service, else you really are not welcomed in this hotel.

Wifi although charged, was not available in my room. You don't even get a newspaper in the room and the room service was not good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with quite AC, else you are going to miss you sleep.

This hotel is like a home away from home for me.I stay at this property at least once in two months. The first thing that strikes you about this hotel is it's warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff are "creme de la creme" of hotel staff anywhere in Maharashtra. The rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished with nice views of open terraces from every room.I have heard that this was once a Taj property and this is reflected in the very high quality maintained here.
The only two flipsides are: Dining choice is limited (but what you get is the best)
Wifi access is paid and they have some trouble connecting you for long periods.(Have heard its going to change soon).
Would love to see this property going from strenghth to strength as this is going to be my only choice for my future stays in Baramati.
