This review is about the hotel's restaurant only. The location on Hawa Beach is superb. You climb up the stairs to a very nice terrace that overlooks both the beach and their pool. The view is especially delightful at sunset.
This hotel is one of the few places with a liquor licence, so we went to legally drink! The tables were nicely laid for dinner, but the professional waiter was happy to let us stay for drinks only. We had beers, and rum which they served as requested with ice, limes and soda on the side so we could mix it to our liking. Drinks are not cheap, though.
I quite liked the ambiance, relaxed, yet a bit more sophisticated than most other places on the beach. I thought we might have dinner. I read the menu and found that they do mostly Western food, some of it quite old-fashioned to boot, and some BBQ. There was no Indian food generally, and nothing at all for vegetarians. Regretfully, we had a few drinks, and had dinner elsewhere.

My husband and I took a short trip to Kovalam for 2 nights. We have visited Kovalam many times, but have never stayed at Hotel Sea Face. The hotel is near the angle of Hawah beach and Lighthouse beach.
The room was good, the bathrooms clean, the staff pleasant and the pool was well maintained. The breakfast included with the room was sumptuous. It was a relaxed holiday.

Such beautiful view of the beach with sun's reflection on it in the back drop of slender coconut trees makes you get a thrill once you step into the balcony of your suite/room.
We did not want to leave the place!
