Had a 1 night stay here with my husband after finishing a cruise. We were greeted by the charming Jose who ,unbeknownst to us , had already collected our bags for us and organised a shuttle to take us to the airport the following day. He then showed us to a very tastefully renovated room complete with kitchenette . The room was large and spotless with lovely views over the marina. Bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. There was a little noise earlier in the night but it did quieten down.( there were complimentary earplugs next to the bed just in case)We could have easily stayed for longer. In the centre of town so great for wandering and seeing the sights. Very reasonable price too. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Would definitely stay again.

Dear Roslyn,
Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for providing this wonderful review. It sounds like you stayed in our newly renovated Bayside Hotel. We learned a few things over the years—providing accommodations in historic properties—and we renovated the Bayside with this knowledge in our back pocket. Your review is incredibly gratifying for our team. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If you find yourself in Ketchikan again, please don't hesitate reaching out to us. Happy travels! -Aftan

Hotel is in a great location fir walking about the town. Has the New York cafe next door which is convenient. On arriving at hotel we had these increadibly steep stairs to drag our suit cases up to our room. Not good if you are elderly or have health issues.
The room was very small but was clean and very quaintly decorated. Lovely if you like old worldly. Was unseasonably warm in August and we had to sleep with the window open as no air conditioner. This is fine except it was quite noisy.

Dear Astinablue51,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your trip to Ketchikan. It sounds as though you stayed in the New York Hotel, an important historic building in our community. Unfortunately, the 1920s design codes did not have the same rise/run standards as required today—resulting in a steeper staircase than we are all used to. It is a unique challenge merging this small, historic building with modern traveler's expectations for lodging. One way we accommodate is by offering to carry guests' bags up the stairs for them. Our sincere apologies if this wasn't offered to you! We do appreciate this review as it is a good reminder for our team to continue offering this service. Thank you. Please don't hesitate to give us a call if you find yourself in Ketchikan again. Happy travels! -Aftan

The location of this hotel is perfect to explore the town of Ketchikan. We were upgraded to a lovely two story apartment. The staff was outstanding. Jose in a gem. He simply couldn't do enough for us. We arrived too late to eat at the hotel restaurant, so Jose called local restaurants and drove us to the one that was open. He even picked us up when we were done. We reserved an extra night because we were leaving on the ferry at 2:00 AM. When we were ready to leave at 1:00, Jose was at our door. Turned out the ferry was late. Jose improvised and took us on a tour of Ketchikan Totems and brought us to a convenience store to grab snacks for the ferry. We travel a great deal and we have never experienced the attention and consideration we experienced at the Inn at Creek Street.

We got in early on the Alaska ferry and Jose made every effort to get us in our room quickly. After returning from a nice breakfast at the New York Cafe, he had already carried our bags up to the room and offered to take us up to Herring Cove to see the bears catching salmon. Nice room in the old hotel overlooking Stedman St and the bay. Very clean and well appointed. Our traveling companions had a very nice 2nd floor apartment overlooking the creek above the Captain's Lady Boutique next to Dolly's complete with washer & dryer. Jose took us back to the ferry terminal when we left and refused any tip. Can't say enough about the customer service. Perfect location, 5 minute or less walk to downtown area and wharves. Make sure to take the funicular (right on Creek Street) up to Cape Fox lodge for a great meal with spectacular views.

Room Tip: The apartment above the Captain's Lady is really nice. Large, well appointed, fully equipped apartment perfect for longer stays.

Dear macotak,

Thank you for staying with us! It sounds like you stayed in "Preacher's House," one of the oldest buildings on Creek Street (and one of my personal favorite units). We're very glad to read Jose was so helpful! Thank you for this wonderful review. Happy travels! -Aftan
