This hotel is located at the end of the Homer Spit and thus the very end of this part of the Kenai Peninsula. Virtually every room has an unimpeded view of the Cook Inlet and the opposite shore. While we were there, the weather was cloudy or rainy so not much mountain viewing. Our room contained a king and a queen bed separated by a pocket door. This could easily accommodate a family of four or two couples who don’t mind sharing the sink and a small bathroom. For us being only 2, it was very comfortable. There are blackout shades, reading lights and the bed is comfortable
although it was a little lumpy. All the usual amenities were provided, hair dryer, free WiFi which was reasonably strong, and plenty of drawer and hanging space.
We also had a delicious breakfast.
All in all, this is superior lodging for Alaska. It is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on the Homer Spit even though it is on one end. Lots of tour groups use it so the restaurant gets crowded. I would recommend going elsewhere for dinner.
