Tikioki is the best place fr snorkelling in Rarotonga. There are a lot of fish, interesting coral/rock outcrops etc. The water is a good depth to ensure good marine life.

There can been turtles, morays, sting rays and many other examples of marine life regularly in this area.

It is also a popular area for local swimming athletes to do their training.

This marine reserve is amazing! Well worth it to see the fish life and other marine life. I have had the honour of seeing a number of turtles in this exact lagoon area. Most of the time I have seen turtles is closer to the reef than the beach side. I have also had the experience of seeing a giant moray and sting rays.

We rented a house for16 days a few hundred meters from this marine reserve? I spent hours each day snorkeling.
This marine reserve is a snorkellers dream come true.
Easy beach access into the water for all age groups. Fabulous visibility in the right conditions. There are schools of large fish swimming around, large coral communities of tropical fish going about their business, several moray eels in amongst the corals, you only have to go waist to chest deep to see an abundance of fish from the shore.
You can snorkel out safely to where Captain Tama's snorkeling cruises anchor.
This is a safe beach for children and beginner snorkellers
I've spent a lot of years snorkelling in Fiji.........dare I say it.....this marine beats Fiji hand down!

Best by size and abundance of fish. On the beach over the road from Fruits of Rarotonga go right along the beach about 100 meters, (until the end of the black rocks) out about halfway to the reef and left into the coralheads that run out from the beach. Huge variety and quantity of fish. Great snorkeling.

Went out on a glass bottom boat and did some snorkeling. The waters are clear and teaming with fish. All sizes and colours.
