The lodging is clean and comfortable with great linens and is warm and cozy (still chilly in Alaska the first week of May.) Motel staff very welcoming and helpful. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Rooms have microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. Lovely view of the mountain and the Dahl sheep that roam there.

The atmosphere takes you back to the 50's. No one is in a hurry, People were extremely friendly. That always adds to a trip.
The food was nothing extraordinary, but the atmosphere made up for that.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay! The cabin we rented was clean and cozy. Great food! Bar! And now they will be open all year. The friendliest staff I've experienced in a long time. Not one sour grape in the group. The new owner seems driven to provide a great experience. Looking forward to coming back. Enjoyed hiking and berry picking. Next time maybe horseback riding.
There was wifi available.

Room tip: Room 1 is closest to the bar and may be noisy some night.

Had breakfast and dinner here recently and the staff was amazing, the food was delicious. I appreciated small touches like the offer to take a coffee to go after breakfast. The food selection and staff offered down home country charm and warm friendliness that makes me look forward to returning for another visit. Thank you.

Sunrise Inn was such a joy. Excellent accommodations and wonderful staff on an unexpected layover. Rick the property manager and his dog Willy made me feel just like home. I loved it so much that I am planning a trip back to Alaska so I can stay several days or more on my way to Homer. I've made the Sunrise Inn a destination...not just an overnight roadtrip stop. Highly recommend.
