Owner description: We invite you to book a Kia Orana morning or afternoon speedboat cruise (for up to 10 people) when you come to Aitutaki. Whether you are an individual or a couple, a wedding party, or a group of friends, cruising around the Lagoon and visiting One Foot Island, and Honeymoon Island is one of the most memorable things to do in the whole of the Pacific. We cruise to what we call "the seven wonders of paradise", and every island has something special to see and experience.

We loved our day out exploring the islands and snorkeling . With a faster boat you get more time to explore both in and out of the water. Two amazing snorkeling spots with giant clams and many colorful fish. Also a great way to meet other travelers. Our captain who we nicknamed captain awesome (captain fantastic's right hand man) was excellent. Loved the tasty lunch with smoked parrot fish and bbq banana. Highly recommended.

We were initially booked on a different tour that cancelled at the last moment. Fortunately Kia Orana was able to accommodate us at the last min. and we're really glad that they could. The smaller boat lead to an intimate experience. We initially selected the other tour as we didn't think we would enjoy spending so much time visiting islands (we really waned to snorkel). After the tour, both my husband and I agreed that the islands were much more interesting than we anticipated. We liked hearing about the names and stories for each (if anything, we would have liked more history). Make sure to bring your camera - the views are beautiful and there's very little risk of it getting wet. The snorkeling was also very good. We spent about 2 hours in the water between the two spots and got to see some new fish (the napoleon fish is particularly cool) as well as giant clams. Lunch was delicious and plentiful and drop off/pick up was a breeze. We would absolutely take another tour with Cpt. Fantastic!

The tour was ok, but I did regret booking with them.
According to them, due to weather conditions we'd have to skip 2 islands and would most likely to visit 2 snorkel spots. At the end of the 1st snorkel spot, we were taken back to the harbour and informed the tour had ended. When asked about the other snorkel, we were informed condition wasn't good.
That would be acceptable if we didn't find out through other people who went on another tour on the very same day with a different company (that also takes fewer ppl onboard) that they were able to do 3 snorkelling spots. The lagoon is quite big but it seems all companies do a similar route - how could our weather forecast be so different to another one that was doing the tour around the same time?

We paid full price for a shorter tour and what sounded to be an excuse to finish it earlier - that's how it felt.

Lunch was nice, the tour itself was good but perhaps our value for money would had been better booking elsewhere - the beautiful lagoon and motus are visited by all companies alike anyway. The guys we spoke with seemed to have had a better experience than we did and paid less for that too.

The captain also encouraged everyone to feed the fish with white bread with butter on the marine reserve - quite disappointing. Unnatural food such as bread cause digestive problems to fish and don't provide any nutritional value.

You're better off booking with the company that has part of its profit towards conservation (wish I had done a proper research before).

Entertaining lagoon tour of the beautiful Aitutaki lagoon.

This lagoon tour is limited to about 10 tourists, so it's quite personal. captain fantastic took time go exokain the local stories behind each Motu (island). One foot island and honeymoon islands are just breathtaking. The snorkelling was equal to anywhere in the world with amazing visibility. The bbq lunch was sensational. Thanks Captain Fantastic

Our captain for the trip was "captain worthless", seriously, he wouldn't tell us how he got that name other than," it's a long story". He did a great job, witty, friendly and very professional, as well a a pretty handy fellow at the BBQ. we had two snorkel stops which were very nice, however the wind was up an the swell started to make snorkeling more difficult. We stopped and walked around Honeymoon island, the Red-Billed Tropicbirds were nesting and we saw a few chicks that had recently hatched.
Unfortunately we were informed that the weather had kicked up and it wouldn't be safe to proceed any farther to the southeast. The other six people on our tour were great people and we enjoyed our interaction throughout the tour. So we proceeded to our lunch island were we swam and snorkeled until lunch. Lunch was very nice the highlights were the grilled salmon, fried bananas and the curried paw paw salad, everything was very nice. We were told that since the weather wouldn't allow us to hit all of the islands, they were going to reduce the price of the tour, and stop for more snorkeling as we back tracked our way home. Everyone was quite pleased.
We will definitely do this tour again on or return trip.
