My wife and I both had the BBQ pork ribs. We were a little reluctant to try after reading a couple of other reviews, but we experienced the opposite...solid BBQ, solid service, great experience.

You won’t be hungry after dinner.
Nice place,
Many locals.

We had a Marlin which was delicious.
At the skewers Moana the fish was little too dry but nevertheless ok.
The portions are very big.
So you don’t do anything wrong to go there.

Price is reasonable

We stayed at the resort across from this restaurant (MANAVA) sow e walked right on over for dinner one night. They were out of the Mahi Mahi so we both got swordfish with different sauces to try. BOTH were seriously delicious. We got so much food for such a great price! When we travel, we love to eat local and experience the culture as much as we can and this restaurant was truly a spot to do this!

We went there because in my opinion the food at the resorts is way overpriced and the reviews on TripAdvisor looked good (apart from potential waiting times). When we arrived there was a person standing at a table talking to the people seated there, we thought he would give us a seat but when he turned around he turned out to be another customer. We decided to walk to a girl behind the counter and she gave us the menu and told us we could sit anywhere.

After a few minutes she came to take the order. We ordered skewers and a steak, the menu included a sauce and 2 side dishes (including fries, salad, beans and something else I forgot).
For drinking you could order a "small" or a "big". When ordering small you would get a can of 33cl. If you order a big, you get a pack or bottle of the drink you ordered. You tlhave to fill the glass yourself from the bottle you receive.

We didn't had to wait too long for the food, and the portions are very generous. For my wife it was to much and she skipped the salad. For me it was perfect. It tasted great and we'll probably go here again.

The owners dog just lied down relaxed next to me and didn't begged for food. Looked like a well trained dog to me.

When you go here don't expect the service like you would get in a resort, remember you aren't paying the same as in the resort.

We decided to take a break from the hotel food and check out a local restaurant for dinner one evening. We walked into the Manila Grill as it was about 50m from our hotel so extremely convenient. As we entered we stood there having no idea whether to be greeted or just grab a table so after waiting a while and nobody paying us any attention went for the latter. We then sat at the table for about twenty minutes, still with no service, so my eldest went up to a waitress and asked for some menus which were then brought over to the table. After another twenty minutes the waitress eventually took our order, unfortunately incorrectly, but it was just a mistake on a sauce and as we had waited what seemed like an eternity for our food didn’t dare complain. All five of us had ordered steaks medium rare and we all received very chewy steaks again we’d waited so long for the food we just ate around the chewy bits whilst being harassed by two stray/owners dogs. We ended up paying as soon as possible and leaving really rather regretting the decision not to eat at the hotel that night.
