We come here regularly and always return to town feeling relaxed and content. Over the years we have taken friends from overseas here and they usually return at some stage alone afterwards. Les Tipaniers is clean and on one of the best white sand beaches. The restaurant with lagoon views is a perfect spot for lunch and a sundowner. No happy hour tho and a bit short staffed at times, but always service with a smile. Book ahead to not be disappointed! We much prefer coming here then going to a posh and expensive hotel.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a bungalow nor a room at the main hotel site. Without first checking the location, I made the reservation of their bungalow that is 4 km from the main hotel. The site was right by the sea but no beach. It didn't look very secured, the guard dog did his job well to stay alert all night....... it was difficult to find it at night unless you know the island well. However, the beach at the main hotel site was very nice, but parking was not easy. The restaurant staff are excellent.

This hotel has great rooms with air-conditioning and up to a 5 man apartment. It is one of the hotels I'm most fond of and the service is always good and with a smile. Most importantly tho is that this place offers more of a down to earth feel than the Hilton style other hotels and therefore is better suited to the adventurous traveller.

Les Tipaniers is a charming hotel with a great location. They offer several good sized bungalows.

They have their own beach which is beautiful. The lagoon is maybe a bit too shallow, you've gotta go a long way for anything other than knee deep, and you need reef shoes because of all the sharp corals. Kayak rentals for 500 xpf (1p) or 1000 xpf (2p) for 1 hour is available at a nearby joint. I'd advice to get one of these and go to either the motus to the left or the shark and stingray bank to the right for excellent snorkeling. Be prepared for very cozy/hungry stingrays who gets as close as it's possible to be, you can touch them too. Amazing experience. Do this by yourself rather than going on the snorkeling tour, you're pretty much just a 10 minute kayak ride away anyway.

We had a bungalow with our own kitchen. A couple of markets nearby will provide you with the basics needed for breakfast and such, but a car is recommended to go to the larger super markets. The breakfast served at the hotel is very limited, so make your own if you have the chance.

Service was excellent, nothing more to say.

Restaurant had good dinners with mostly Italian and Tahitian food, but the breakfast and lunch at the beach restaurant was not to our liking.

As for sleep, well, the beds are nice and comfy - BUT - there are many roosters on the property that keeps it going from VERY early morning (around 3am at the earliest). Buy ear props if you sleep light like we do, or you're bound to get really annoyed. They say this is the norm in FP, but we didn't have anything close to this noise in other places we stayed.

Lovely relaxing six nights in a a/c bungalow - highly recommend this & thanks to all the lovely staff. Gardens were tidily kept, the rooms cleaned daily and we felt that we had a great deal of privacy. Short stroll to the beach and water whichever bungalow you have.

Room Tip: all seem good , but having a/c is a bonus
