A friend of my husbands recommended the place knowing that we are big time foodies and are always looking for a nice bite out. He did not miss!
The galettes at Chez Loic are truly a treat for the senses. For a while now, we appreciate simpler dishes that take advantage of the flavors offered by just a few ingredients that while unimpressive on their own, are able to enhance each other and transform in your mouth in a tasteful experience.
My "Francilienne" galette, emmental, spinach and creme; and my husband's "Jurassienne", emmental, smoked bacon and goat cheese; each topped with an egg, were very different in flavor combination but equally succulent. Add a couple of glasses of a nice French wine and you got a winning combo.
Although our dishes may have taken a bit longer than expected, we felt comfortable and at ease, sipping on our wine while the food came. Service was cordial and attentive.
As far as budget goes, it is not at the cheap end putting us at close to 70USD, appetizer, two galettes and four glasses of wine; but considering how much we enjoyed ourselves and how great the food was, it was money very well spent.
