Our family of four (2 kids ages 9 and 11) spent 3 nights on the top two floors. The kids stayed in the loft and loved having an area separate from us. Having come from Arenal, it was HOT while we were at the coast. The air conditioning and the pool were truly appreciated. We loved watching the birds from the porch, and were amazed by the monkeys and lizards we saw as well. The walk to the beach was a little strenuous in the heat, but the kids loved the beach - and it was beautiful. Apt. 1 was truly spacious for our family of four - and very comfortable. Thanks, Kristina, for a great trip!

Booked for a few days with 3 total couples. Had the top 2 floors with private entrance. Very clean. Beautiful views. Greeted each morning by monkeys in the nearby trees. The pool was nice. A close walk to a private beach. Close driving to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Nothing to complain of.

We stayed last weekend for one night. Quiet, away from the crowd. Lots of green everywhere, clean, all the amenities, lots of space at a reasonable rate. Fully equipped apartment. GOOD VALUE!
Short drive on gravel road, but worth it.! preferably to drive a car there but no big deal to walk. The balconies are my favourite to enjoy a coffee on the hammock !

I thought this was a very beautiful place to stay and GREAT for the cost. The road is bumpy, yes, but not a big deal. We had no trouble getting in and out of the driveway. Make sure that you get directions ahead of time; Costa Rica doesn't use addresses in the same way that we do so you can't just plop it in or the GPS. The closest we could find on the navigation system was the Hotel Teca, so we put this in and once we found that we were able to use the map off kristina's website. The sign for villa kristina is very small (like the size of an 8×11 piece of paper) but once you find your route the first time it is very easy. If in doubt, when you come to the Y, take a left :).

Kristina was friendly and when we asked for a suggestion where to eat she mentioned El Aviary. GREAT suggestion, definately our favorite place we ate while in Costa Rica. The waiter there saw that we had two little kids and pulled us over to see a sloth hanging out in one of the trees :).

Again, Kristina's property is beautiful, spacious, and very well kept. The price is very worth it. The only downfall was that we didn't have hot water to shower in. Some days this truly may not be an issue because it can get so humid that you may not want a hot shower. We only stayed one night so it wasn't the end of the world, but worth mentioning. Also, the washer...is tiny and I'm not even sure how you would use it. I'm sure you could figure it out but if you are planning on doing a lot of laundry just know that it's very very small.

If you walk to the nearby beach, wear tennis shoes and bring water. It's a rough walk but WORTH it! We saw monkeys hanging in the trees and the beach is gorgeous. Our kids are 4 and 5 and the walk was a bit rough for them but they made it.

Overall, would stay here again. It was beautiful.

We stayed in Villa Kristina for a few days in the beginning of the year and absolutely loved it. The place is so clean, quiet and comfortable. The surroundings are really nice, it feels like you are in the rainforest all the time, yet with all the amenities you could ask for. Kristina herself is an absolute gem, really nice and helpful host. Highly recommended!
