Our room overlooked the Pacific Ocean. It was very clean and had all the amenities needed. The staff of the hotel and restaurant couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The hotel is literally next to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. We would certainly stay there again.

Room tip: 5th floor and up gives you an ocean view. Below that is mostly wooded.

If you're gong to Quepos/ Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, don't overlook this new hotel. The location is right at the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. The rooms are large and roomy with extremely comfortable beds. All rooms have balcnies. There are 2 pools, a large one at ground level complete with water slide, and a smaller one on the rooftop with awesome views of the park and the ocean. Rooms on lower floors have restricted views because of trees, higher floors have fantastic views of the ocean. Spa and gym will be open soon. Can't find any better hospitality anywhere. Car park is private and secure as well as free. San Bada is right n the heart of Manuel Antonio, but away from the crowds and noise, an easy short walk to the beach and beachfront shopping.

Room tip: Get a room on a high floor for awesome views. Worth the extra money. Suites are fantastic and a great value.

Dear savvywomentravel,

Thank you very much for your kind words and sharing your experience with others at T.A.!

We are extremely pleased that you enjoyed your stay from the vast reasons you mentioned. We are located next to Manuel Antonio National Park entrance, or door to door.

Our staff is working in the final detailing part of the spa and the gym, once finished this will add more services for our guests to do during their vacations, like keeping in shape and relaxing with great body, massage and facial treatments!

For our tripadvisor readers we always suggest going to our sixth floor terrace to watch spectacular sunset and ocean views, and also spend some time at the rooftop pool accompanied with some delicious fresh fruit cocktails.

Thanks again for your great review, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Sincerely,
Your friends at Hotel San Bada

The Hotel San Bada is steps away from the Manual Antonio National Park. The hotel is also within walking distance of the beach shopping and restaurants. The hotel recommended and booked us a tour with MidWorld for zip-lining and also a rafting tour with Amigo Delrio. Both companies were a first-class operation with safety their utmost concern.
We can't say enough about the entire wonderful staff. Very friendly, helpful and gracious. They made our stay the best ever. We wanted for nothing!
The restaurant has an extensive menu. Every menu presented whether it be b'fast, lunch or dinner the food was exquisite with varying items for every palate.
If you ever decide to visit Costa Rica do not miss Manuel Antonio and make sure you stay at Hotel San Bada..

Room tip: Whether overlooking the preserve (monkeys) or Pacific Ocean the view is fantastic.

We stayed at Hotel San Bada for a few days in mid-March as one of the stops during our week-long study abroad tour of Costa Rica with 105 University participants. The hotel and its amenities exceeded our expectations (in past years we stayed at various hotels and resorts in the Puntarenas region, but they could not compare to this hotel). Dante Kim and his staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and the location was fabulous (right next to the Manuel Antonio National Park and a very short walking distance to the public beaches, shops, and restaurants). The sixth floor roof top terrace had amazing sunset views and we enjoyed star gazing during the evenings. The rooms were clean and comfortable; my room on the fifth floor had a fabulous view of of the ocean. The restaurant offerings were very delicious and satisfying. The hotel has two pool options (one on the rooftop terrace) that were never crowded (even with our large group, because of the availability of other activities and things to do in Manuel Antonio).
What sets this hotel apart from other hotels/resorts is Dante and his staff's hospitality and graciousness. We are looking forward to returning to Hotel San Bada next year!

The rooms at this Hotel were nice and spacious and the beds and pillows were comfy. However this hotel was interesting to us the roof top terrace was AMAZING except the bar was unattened and unstocked along with the swim up bar in the pool. We had to call for everything and the prices of drinks were outrageous! This hotel did have a convenient "tunnel" to the beach though, which was great! Most things were walking distance and the National Park is just steps away but it is the furthest hotel down the main road.

Room tip: I would recommend asking for a room on obe of the upper levels and towards the back if you want a beach view.

Dear Erica,
Guests are the most important people in our Hotel!

We very much value your input as it helps ensure we are able to be completely responsive to our guest's needs.

Thank you for pointing out that in overall you enjoyed your stay in our Resort. Certainly since our Hotel is brand new we look for the best comfortable pillows, mattresses and amenities on the market, we are glad that you pointed out this.

We are the gate to the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park, since we are door to door to this nature review wonder. Also as you highlighted we are close to the public beach, through a tunnel that ends at a shortcut that goes to the beach.

AMAZING was a kind and well appointed word to describe the fantastic terrace bar with ocean view we have in the 6th floor, however we do feel sorry that the major discomfort during your stay was the fact that our terrace bar was not available at your convenience . Normally the 6th floor ocean and sunset view bar opens from 12:00pm till the sunset around 6:00pm, we do not know exactly the reason why you found the bar unattended, please feel free to email us to info@hotelsanbada.com and give us more details to prevent this issue happen again in the future. Also during your stay we would definitely appreciated if you informed us about this situation in order address it immediately.

We feel sad that our drink’s prices did not meet your expectations; however, the prices of the drinks starts from $2 to $10, in the cocktails or drinks we use fresh fruits and liquors of recognized brands striving the best quality.

Thank you for sharing your experience, as it helps us become the best that we can be. I sincerely look forward the chance of welcoming you and your husband back at Hotel San Bada!

Pura vida!
