The Lotus Garden is an oasis in paradise. The accommodations and the staff were great. Jordan Klow has created a beautiful space and energy for all to enjoy. I'd recommend anyone visiting Puerto Viejo to stay at The Lotus Garden.

We stayed here for 3 nights in march 2017 and had a fabulous time. Puerto Viejo is an amazing beach town and was a fantastic place to visit. The hotel itself was located on the main road through the town and was only about a 30-second walk to the beach, and 3 minute walks to the nearest supermarket; so the location was fantastic.

Breakfast was not included in the price of the room, but they offer a very tasty and reasonably priced breakfast if you choose to eat there (the traditional Gallo pinto was 3000 Colons).

We stayed in the 'ninja room' and the room itself was great. It was a large room, with 1x double bed, 1x single bed and there was another single bed located upstairs in the cabin. There was also a basic ensuite which was more than met our needs. The room was very clean, the only thing to mention is that it is a beach destination so you are going to bring in sand yourself.

Room had 2x fans which were more than ample for cooling the room.

There seemed to be a wifi router located in the upstairs of our cabin, which meant the wifi was as good as you could imagine.

The hotel rented out bikes for $5 a day, which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend bikes here, it allows you to see some of the other beautiful beaches located a bit out of Puerto Viejo. The road is a straight road (so you can't get lost) and is very picturesque. We were lucky enough to spot a troupe of howler monkeys on our cycle!

Staff were fantastic and were really helpful and friendly.

Hotel was very clean.

I would definitely recommend the Lotus Garden to anyone visiting Puerto Viejo; my only regret is not staying in Puerto Viejo longer!

We ended up spending total of two weeks at Lotus garden because the staff was so great. The location is good and the rooms nice and big. The breakfast is good, alltough it is not included. They also buy and sell books, which offers a cheap way to get something new to read.

The rooms down stairs can be a bit noisy, because the floor of the second floor rooms tends to creak a lot.

We stayed in the Lotus Garden for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. It's a quirky place and we had a beautiful bedroom with high ceilings and a great bathroom. Location was great... close to the centre. We hired bikes and had a bike ride in the morning which was great. We would have like a mosquito net as the windows are not sealed and we got bitten heavily. Totally understand that this is part of a holiday in this part of the world, but a simple net would have been great. Also a fridge in the room and free bikes for the price we payed. Otherwise, great hotel and we would return. The host was brilliant and have lots of info on the area.

Stayed one night while en route to San Jose from Bocos del Toro. Basic room for what we paid. Little bit of own personal feedback...Lighting needs addressing. Small bedside lamp would have been handy. Reception area fairly well equipped however would have benefited from a more comfortable chill out area. First impressions were its not all that zen but there is huge potential to be an amazing place if a small upgrade were to take place
