Stayed here for a week. Family of 6 (4 young kids). Beautiful location. 5 minute drive or $5 (2500 colones) taxi to Town. Quick walk to a super quiet and fun beach to play. The view of the ocean from breakfast (which is delicious) is superb. A few small places nearby for lunch & dinner (if you don't head in to Cahuita). The pool is beautiful. The rooms are clean. The price is very reasonable. Feel confident to book directly from their website.

Marcelo & his wife are excellent hosts. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we return to Costa Rica.

We traveled throughout Costa Rica for 2 weeks and this was our final destination where we stayed parked for 5 night and we are so glad that we did! The hospitality that you receive is, by far, the best! At night, you can hear the ocean waves crash that can lull you to sleep. By day, there is so much to see! We had a family of sloths that we watched, a resident hawk, howler monkeys, and lots of smaller amphibians and arachnids too! You can't get bored, unless you want to be - say- spend hours reading in a hammock or laying out by the gorgeous pool, or taking a relaxing bath in the large Jacuzzi tub that fills all the way up with HOT water!!!

Not that all of that is reason enough to want to stay at La Diosa, but the owner, Marcello, learned on the first day that I would be having a birthday during our stay. Not only did he remember 4 days later, but he had a cake and he and some of his staff sang me happy birthday. It was very special and so thoughtful!

If you are questioning where to stay in Cahuita, don't think about it anymore!! This is the right place! You won't go wrong!!!

Room tip: Their best room is with the large Jacuzzi tub and we really enjoyed it!

A lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting very close to the sea. It is small and friendly, the owner, Marcello, is lovely and was so helpful with our car hire issue.
The location is very peaceful, its a short walk to the nearest beach where you can swim. The small town of Cahuita is quite a walk away so if you are travelling independently, not as part of a tour group, a car is pretty useful.
Great location for sloth sanctuary and Cahuita wildlife park.
Fantastic breakfasts!

Room tip: The are family bungalows

We were in Costa Rica for 3 weeks on our honeymoon and this was our last stop. Compare to all the other places we stayed (in the same price range) hotel La Diosa was by far the best. You have a view of the water in the breakfast area. Delicious food and different everyday. Our room was spacious and bed was comfortable. No TV wich is not a bad thing on vacation! Air-condition works well. Staff are kind and the host is present at all time. He speaks English very well as he lived in US and he is very attentive.
We will be back and recommend this place to all our friends!

Our family stayed 3 nights at Hotel La Diosa. They are located a quick walk to the beach. You might be able to swim in the Caribbean from the hotel property itself, but the surf was very rough while we were there so we did the short walk to the black sand beach and had the beach to ourselves.
Breakfast was included and very good. In addition to the buffet with fruits, yogurt, bread, etc, they made a fresh plate with eggs for each guest. The hotel owner also arranged horse back riding, 2 and a half hours of riding on the beach, tasking coconuts and learning a bit about cocoa.
There is also a restaurant across the street which was quite good as well.
