Dining at The Langosta Beach Club is always one of the best experiences while in Costa Rica.
To begin, the setting is lovely. The outdoor restaurant is comfortable, chic, well maintained and welcoming. It's elegant enough for a romantic dinner, but casual enough to stop in for a quick bite. The beautiful pool and amazing beach provide a wonderful backdrop for the perfect environment.
The staff is knowledgable, friendly, helpful and professional. They know the menu inside and out and are always willing to provide helpful hints on what specials may be best for the day. They're attentive without being intrusive and are friendly without being too casual.
But it's the food that's the highlight here. The chef is simply amazing!!! The regular menu has some of the best tuna available and the specials are a slice of heaven. But we really enjoy the sushi, which is also fresh, beautifully prepared and plentiful (two rolls are more than enough for an entire dinner...they're that big!). The sake is great and the miso soup is freshly made...you can tell the difference!
Definitely stop in for dinner (closed on Mondays) and maybe see the live jazz on Tuesdays or Fridays. Saturdays can be very busy, so make sure you make a reservation in advance to secure a table with a great location around the pool or on the beach.
