We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Coco Palms. Every single member of the staff was welcoming and helpful. The location is right in the middle of everything in Playas del Coco, which made it really easy to walk around and enjoy the town. The town itself was a perfect blend of tourists, ex-pats, and locals making for a comfortable environment. We had been warned that the area might be noisy, but we found it very peaceful and welcoming. That could have been based on the season we visited, but I can't say for sure. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable. Yes, there are itty, bitty ants crawling around, especially in the bathroom, but you're in the tropics. That's to be expected. One day there was no housekeeping, but that truly doesn't bother us. The water temperature in the shower could have been warmer, but again, it's the tropics, so sometimes you just have to roll with it. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel to people that are reasonable in their tastes. If you want luxury, you need to go to a different town, because I don't think it exists in Coco. Definitely give Coco Palms a try for a cute, well located, very service-oriented stay in downtown Coco. Owners and staff were all friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We had room 51. I'd suggest any room that is numbered in the 30's or 50's, as they are interior to the courtyard and probably quietest.

The nondescript exterior hides this hotel's inviting courtyard with its abundant flora and well-maintained swimming pool. Our first-floor room was spacious and clean, though dark. Traditional Costa Rican breakfasts of rice/beans, fresh fruit, eggs, were tasty. The accommodating, friendly staff showed their colors after the A/C in our room failed; we slept one night in the adjacent room without having to move our belongings. The hotel is located one block from the beach and one block from the social scene, which minimized noise in our room. Good price/value relationship.

Very nice place to stay. Room was clean and decorated with local flavor. Food was beyond good. The staff was pleasant, very efficient, and just nice to be around. The grounds are well kept and clean as was the pool and surrounding area.
There are plenty of things to do that are within walking distance. The beach is well within walking as is the park adjacent to the beach. Soccer field across the street is nice and there were a couple of games there while we were there. The Hotel Staff will also assist you in making arrangements for day trips. They make it easy.
Had a great time, thanks in part to a great hotel and their staff.
Thanks

Average hotel with really nice patio and pool. Rooms are spacious and confortable (a bit dark however). This hotels offers all you need, parking, mini fridge in room, internet (slow at times), a fine bar/restaurant for breakfast and a near perfect location. Not at the beach but just a block away from the beach and from the main street where you can get whatever you need. It also has a 24 hour store/mini market which is very practical.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the pool/patio are nice as it makes you feel as if you were in a house

We spent the day on the ocean and caught Jack and black tuna. heard about the cook at this place, stopped off met him, told him to have at it and surprise us. Came back in 4 hours and wow, what a feast. He prepared the tuna and jack 4 differnt ways on a large patter, more that we could of ever expected. While this place looks one the outside like something from a mexican brad pit movie, once you get into the court yard inside with the pool, you will thank the guy who keeps the front looking questionable and glad that you have this place to your self....just do it!
