The main hike takes about 2 hours and it is a loop that goes around the mud pots and little volcano. It is an easy hike - mostly flat and paved. Very interesting - we saw a lot of animals too - snakes, agouti, birds etc. You can hire a guide but I don´t think that you need one. There are other hikes too but were closed because of the volcanic activity. Overall, definitely worth the trip!
