“Hospitality at its BEST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

We only stayed a few days and truly hated to leave. The property is lovely with breathtaking gardens. Relaxing in the hot springs is a must. The staff was wonderful. Edward at the front office helped us plan even more adventures during our stay including horseback riding up to the base of volcano.

We enjoyed waking the property and looking for Toucans, parrots and more.

Dinners were very enjoyable in the restaurant - I would recommend the Arroz con Pollo.

We are already planning our next trip to the resort!

The grounds of Arenal Springs Hotel are lush, beautiful, and well-maintained, and the view of the volcano is great. The staff was generally very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and adequate but it seemed a little gloomy and dark. The shower was different--sort of like showering in the jungle. I liked it. To me the hot springs were disappointing. I expected more of a natural environment and a variety of springs. Here the focus was the swim up bar. The restaurant was good but nothing special. The breakfast was complimentary and satisfying. The problem was the number of large tour groups tour. They would arrive en masse in the restaurant and create very long lines. Not necessarily the hotels fault. Just annoying. All in all, a nice hotel with a beautiful settng.

Room Tip: Try to get a room number 500 or less. It can be an inconveniently long walk to the hot springs and t...

So the springs here are amazing!! AMazing!! not sure how the other ones were, but here it was great. Just a quick walk to them and we had a great time.
The only thing about the whole arena area is that all the resorts are far from town. We ventured but it was an expensive cab ride back and forth. They really rip you off.
The rooms were nice but nothing amazing, the springs are really great and the breakfast was great as well. Not sure it was worth the price, but then again costa rica has become pretty pricey ;)

hello friend, thank you very much for being in our hotel and we very much appreciate your comments, we're sorry for any inconvenience.
Our hotel is 8km from the town and that gives our guests a place more quiet and relaxing, taxis to the town of Fortuna are $ 10 each way, and can accommodate 2-4-and 6 people, many people share the same taxi to split the price.
anyway thank you very much for your comments God bless you your family and my apologies for the inconvenience, we hope in God to have you back. PURA VIDA

Spent three glorious nites at the Arenal Springs resort February 12-15.
Only slight glitch was a balking generator that resulted in a power outage one evening.
Oh Well, the hot springs were running and the bar had power, so all was not lost.
Reservations required for dinner at on site restaurant, but never had a problem getting the time we wanted.

Room Tip: Best views from the second floor rooms, only available in building 900.

We stayed here for two nights and liked it for the most part. Awesome view of the volcano, and great hot springs pool with a bar. I just didn't care for the bathroom, as there was no air-conditioning, the hot water in the shower lasted only about a minute (and that's being generous), and it had a sort of opening at the top of the shower which allowed for bugs to get in there. We had a lot of ants and a gecko sharing ours. Ew.

Room Tip: Get a room close to the restaurant/pool if you don't want to have to walk. Some rooms are pretty...
