Absolutely one of my favorites places we stood in during our recent trip to Costa rica. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a great variety. The view of the volcano was incredible. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We had a ton of fun hiking through the trails in the resort and were able to see a howler monkey and some interesting birds. The resort also provides a shuttle that take you into the town la Fortuna for a very inexpensive fee. The pool and hot springs in the resort was also awesome and there pastacones are something you don't want to miss out on.

The room was nice, but at this price I could've gotten something better.
The breakfast is really bad and the food in the restaurant is too expensive compared to the quality of the food.
The staff is nice

My boyfriend and I stayed here few months ago and we had the time of our lives, everything was perfect, starting with their location, they have one of the most epic sights of Arenal Volcano and surroundings, our room was always clean, confortable and quite, the staff was always friendly and helpful, the restaurants food and drinks were great for and excellent price, and lastly the spa and swimming were certainly pleasant and everything was beyond our expectations.

I read some reviews and looks like we were in a different hotel because our experience was very good.

We stayed in a superior room (perhaps this is the reason) and it had amazing views of the volcano from our window. Even when it was cloudy, which was most of the time, the view was stunning. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was nice as well. There are a lot of geckos around but if you turn on the air conditioner, they won't get in the room.

Installations were good. The hot springs of the hotel were really good as well and they also had the option to use volcanic mud.

The restaurant was nice and the food we tried was good; perhaps a bit expensive for what it was. Everything in Costa Rica is in general expensive.

We'd definitely recommend it as an option for a stay in Arenal.

This place needs a refresher and greater caring.
Likes:
We had a superior bungalow with a great view from both sides (Volcano on one and rolling hills on the other). Loved the very small patio with table, chairs and rocking chairs where we could sit even when it rained. The hot springs were great and the mud area is a good idea. Best thing about this place is its proximity to parks and the town with great restaurants.

Not so great:
The pool area has few chairs and I didn't get the feeling it was maintained regularly. The bathroom in our room was definitely in need of a refresher. The check-in time is 3pm but we didn't get our room until closer to 4pm. All we got was a voucher for some specific drinks at a specific time (both of which I was not aware of).
