Pleasant basic room. No complaints. The grounds are lovely with a view of Arenal volcano. There is a beautiful little creek running by the hotel. Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast and pleasant staff if you watch TV in such a beautiful place, theirs is very small and high on the wall. WiFi works only at the office not in the rooms.

Good location and close to some really cool things. It was comfortable and clean but very basic, which was good enough for me traveling on a budget. Good breakfast. I would recommend, if that's what you are looking for.

We arrived quite late and was greeted by Fernando with a lovely happy face and warm welcome just what we needed after a long journey.
We had the first bungalow to the left of the reception building, it was lovely and clean, basic inside but as it turns out really very practical as we got soaked and the wire shelve/rack proved great for putting wet cloths over/hanging on.
It is 2km out of town 20-30min walk.
The grounds are lovely and attracted a lot of wildlife and we spent hours walking round looking at everything from ants.. to birds and monkeys.
Breakfast was a buffet type thing and was very tasty, again the normal rice/beans and egg, fruit and pancakes.
It also has a nice out door pool.
I don't know if evening meals are ever done here but when we went in low session it did not do food.
Nice little run place

Room Tip: Our little row of bungalows around the green were lovely, quieter on week days

We LOVED this hotel....BUT we had a rental car. Without a rental car you are too far from town to walk (because of the pitch dark roads). I'm sure you could call a taxi and that wouldn't be an issue. We loved this hotel BECAUSE it was away from the hustle and bustle of town while only being less than a 5 min drive there. It was quite and peaceful. Rooms were clean. Provided mini fridge in room. A/C worked great.
We were part of the '4 plex' (2 rooms on bottom, 2 rooms on top) and you could hear noise between the rooms so bring earplugs if that bothers you. Breakfast that is included each day is AMAZING and you get a great view of the volcano and there are all kinds of wonderful 'extra's you can get if you ask (pineapple jam for your toast for example). Pool was great - hardly ever used. Would stay here again 100%.

Dear Guest,

We want to thank you immensely for taking the time to leave us your feedback according to your recent stay in our hotel.

It is a pleasure to read that you loved our hotel, and that you would like to return to stay with us, definitely it will be an honor to receive you again.

For us, being a little away from the downtown is a privilege, because it allows us to offer our guests the tranquility and privacy that we all seek to enjoy our vacations.
Fortunately, if you do not bring car, we offer the facility to rent a bicycle in case you want to explore the town of La Fortuna.

If you visit Costa Rica again, we really hope to have you back in our hotel.

Best Regards,
Nathalia Araya
