I want to say excellent as Urbn has so many great qualities to make it a fantastic boutique hotel in Shanghai, a quiet but convenient location, funky rooms, bar and restaurants. The gym facility close by is also very good. Opt for the garden view room for extra lounge space, large soaking bath and free wifi. Service was good compared to other 5 star hotels in China for front desk and housekeeping however in the restaurant was dismal, the food is great, the service is poor and distracts from what could be an overall great experience.

Picked hotel as wanted a boutique hotel for our last stop on our trip to china and was not disappointed
Hotel only has 20 rooms and we had a studio room, plenty of room with a long bathroom encompassing wet room shower and square bath.
We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was excellent ,there were plenty of people eating and drinking who were not guests which is a good sign.
Our only criticism is there are are stairs which are not user friendly
However overall would recommend this hotel highly and would give it 9/10

On a recent trip to Shanghai we stayed at the URBN hotel. It was a delightful experience. The room was large with a sitting area, all with an Asian influence. The only challenge in the room was it had several levels, so the step -downs and ups could be tricky, especially at night!
Breakfast and Happy Hour was included and were great! We had dinner at the restaurant one night and were not disappointed. The staff was very accommodating, a real help in a city where the language was a challenge. We would definitely return.
