Good location, front desk very helpful and breakfast is very good.
It'll help if it will be renovated and improve the flow of water in the upper floor in the shower. All by all we would stay there again.

Room Tip: nice view to the city

Green Court Residence provides spacious and comfortable suites for business travelers or families. The suites are modern and well appointed. The service is good and the staff friendly. The only negatives are the ultra slow elevators (be prepared to wait up to ten minutes) and the location which is far from downtown Shanghai. Never the less there are some excellent pubs, bars and restaurants in the vicinity.

Had to find a place to stay for 10 nights in Shanghai. Went on Trip Advisor to find something affordable but rated high and found Green Court Serviced Apartments. There were PROS and CONS but overall, would stay again and recommend it for cost effective accommodations. If there are concerns of plush or elegance for a stay, then this is not for you. This is a deluxe apartment with a functional kitchenette - clean and comfortable and affordable. One can pay more for nicer and newer but this place was really good for the price.
PROS = great location, easy to walk to Nanjing Road, People's Square and a few museums, good hot breakfast available with a variety of east/west food, friendly English speaking staff that really try to please, room very spacious considering most places are somewhat cramped, clean and functional kitchenette.
CONS = the bed was very hard, not a mattress that one would be familiar with but similar to a layer of blankets on top of planks. We thought we had a bad bed but it appears that this type of "mattress" is common. Feels like sleeping on the floor or on a board. They gave us a few extra comforters which we doubled up to sleep on. It softened our bed a bit but if you have a bad back, this might not be suitable to sleep on. The hotel is somewhat older and a bit tired looking but considering what we were paying, this can be easily overlooked. Bottom line - remember what you are paying and saving compared to a much more modern place. We would definitely rebook if in Shanghai again.

Room Tip: Be aware of a hard bed if you have back concerns.

Location, f&b, staff, rooms:
Location is good. Close to People’s Square (7 min walk). Very noisy on street side rooms.
Food is not good. End of story. Breakfast is under average. Even Asian food is under average.
Staff is average too. Not bad but not helpfull or friendly as well.
Rooms are good except the bathroom. Bathtube and still curtains. Didn’t like. Rest is Ok. Comfy bed.
