Very good value for money hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the Bund. The higher floors have an amazing view, particularly if you're on the east side of the building like I was and have the futuristic Pudong district greeting you every morning. East Nanjing Road, a main shopping thoroughfare and the nearest subway, are also around 10 minutes walk.

I had been upgraded to a Queen business room which was very nice and spacious despite paying normal rates. The decor is a little old fashioned now, but it's clean and has everything you need.

Breakfast was OK, plenty of options, though the room isn't big enough and you could be struggling for a table never mind a seat. All three mornings I had to crash other parties on their table.

Building is also quite easily identifiable by its roof shape, so it's easy navigable!

Room Tip: Higher up floors on the east side have a great view of Pudong.

Rooms..... Very good. Great space. We had a King business and was good value for money.

Breakfast..... Not particularly thrilling if you are a westerner. But passable. Waiter standing in the middle of the restaurant picking his nose and biting his nails whilst staring into space didn't rock my world !

Location... Rather good. Not far to anywhere. The Bund about a 10 minute walk as is People's Square

Staff.... Got the Business centre to book our train to Yiwu. She was very good and got the job done efficiently.

The concierge was extremely helpful..always plenty of staff here to help.

The receptionist on premium check in was ditsy and non communicative ... But she was the only one....we wish her well !

I was travelling alone in Shanghai and loved this hotel. I tried to check in and was asked to go to the executive floor and was given an executive room despite just making a normal booking. The room was great - it had a view of the river and you could see some of the skyline including The Pearl. The computer in the room was a little slow but I find this is often the case in China. There was a lovely big bed and big bath in the bathroom. I found it a great place to relax after all day on my feet. Each afternoon on the executive floor they have afternoon tea available for free including drinks and mini cakes - I found this enjoyable as it had a view over the river. Breakfast was an experience I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere with such variety there really was something for everyone!

In terms of location the hotel was 10 minutes walk from the metro stop and within walking distance of many of Shanghai's sites. I felt safe alone in the area both at night and in the day. There are loads of little shops nearby to get water and other essentials.

Overall I really recommend this hotel I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This hotel is just a short walk from everything you want to see or do in Shanghai. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff very helpful and informative. We had a very good deal including breakfast and stayed 3 nights in the middle of everything. 5 mins walk to the Bund - same to Peoples Square or to Yuyan Gardens. Staff spoke good English and made our stay delightful

Wanted to stay in Shanghai in a great spot and somewhere reasonably priced. We up graded to Exective suite. Was a very good choice. Loved everything about this hotel from the front entrance to our room. I'm sick of people complaining obout little things on trip advisor. Stay at this hotel if you want value for money and walking distance to the Bun and the main shopping street. Breakfast was excellent had plenty of choices and had no problems with getting served coffee by the staff. Could not do more for you. Would stay here again if we ever went back to China.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a more expensive room if you can afford it
