Great little gem for an afternoon exploration. Statues of the leftist writers from the 1920s and 1930s line the pedestrian street. Little cafes, including the charming Old Film Café. One gets the feel of literary life in Shanghai during this period.

Nice for a stroll around, antique type shops, a few nice cafes and so on, lots of photo opportunities. Found it easier to take Metro to the Hongkou Stadium and walk down from there. Walking distance to Lu Xun park and surrounding area so could combine both in same day, but a lot of walking.

This street combines the story of Lu Xun (see also the nearby park) with cafés , a museum, antique shops and a pedestrian street. Lined with statues of Lu Xun and his friends

I lived in an apartment in this area long before the change. At that time, I used to hear the "old timers" spin yarns nightly about how Duolun Road was back in the day, back in the Roaring 20s and the turbulent 30s. Now the city has beautified the area, restoring it (to an extent, albeit) to its former glory. Wear your walking shoes, as you are in for a good trek. And it would be highly recommended that you brush up on your history of the area before arriving--if nothing else, check out Wiki's webpage, which has a pretty decent amount of info.

Duoloun Road is a little street in Shanghai. The street is not a long one, around half a mile in a quiet area. A number of old buidling in various styles. A lof famous persons (including Lu Xun 鲁迅; K'ung Hsiang-hsi 孔祥熙 ) visited or lived around this area. A nice for a pleasant walk.
