Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Lobby is like a fish market with locals playing poker cards. Doesn't accept foreign credit cards. Room partition wall is not sound proofed. Worst IBIS i have stayed. Global Harbor shopping mall is 5 min walk away.

Firstly, the front Lady staff is so untrained, The room is dirty and smelly. The operation of air-cond is accompanied with cracking sound. I never expected under the Ibis class can be that bad. The room I stayed is 418.

First, let me say I usually love the Ibis chain - great value for money as a general rule. After having guests stay at the Kehua Chengdu property, which is comfortable for the price and clean, I was fairly optimistic. When I got there: (1) the rooms were dirty and moldy; (2) the bathroom did not drain well; (3) no in-room Internet and very slow Internet in the lobby (even for China).

The surrounding area is not nice.

The staff was friendly enough but not helpful or professional.

Even the lobby was filthy, with dirty, unwiped tables.

Very difficult to find, no so nice surroundings. The room was horribly damp with the air con leaking on the desk, not to ibis standards.

Left the hotel after the first night and decided to pay more and booked a grand Mercure.

What's wrong with the ibis brand?
