From the outside this hotel looks very plain but on the inside, it is a great place. The lobby and restaurant are huge and nicely appointed with model style furnishings. The buffet was large and have many different foods to choose from.

Our room was large with a great king size bed. The bathroom was also large with a spacious shower. The reasonable rate made this an exceptional value. Two things that were disappointing were the slow speed and limitations on the free WiFi and all of the TV channels were Chinese. I would be nice is they at least had the English language Chinese channel.

We booked this hotel based on reviews and boy were we let down in a big way. This was the worst hotel that we have ever stayed it and highly frustrating. I have stayed in hostels that were better in China. It was awful from start to finish. The only good thing was that it was close to Disney and it has free shuttles to the airport and Disney. If you are staying for a quick trip and will not be in the hotel too much then I am sure it will be okay.

This hotel was great. As soon as we arrived, the doorman greeted us and asked up if were returning or checking in. We informed him we were checking in. He got out bags and brought them inside. I went and checked us in. The front staff spoke great English and told us about the restaurant in the hotel and everything. Once we were checked in. they brought us to our room (rather than directing us). When we got there, we got one of the bigger rooms. It had a kid’s playset in it, that we asked to be removed, which was done within 15 minutes and was greatly appreciated as it was blocking the door to go outside on the patio.

The room and hotel over were great; great location, clean, had a full size patio could go outside, beds comfy, bathroom large, great eating area, smelled new, doorman was great and greeted us each time we came back to the hotel with a smile, help to set us up with a taxi back to airport on last night. The rates were really cheap as well and felt like we got a really good deal.

They had a buffet restraint on the other side of the hotel. It was great, had a mix of American, Chinese, and seafood. It was a bit expensive, but with nothing else around to eat, it was well worth it, as we didn’t have to leave the hotel.

One of the best thing was that it had shuttles that often went to Disney. This was great that we didn’t have to get a taxi or anything. The only dislike about the entire hotel/experience was that shuttle company (not owned by Marriott) did not speak any English at all. It was a bit difficult but we figured out when/where to go and how to sign up for a spot on the bus. This was only an issue when we weren’t sure where to get back on the bus after leaving Disney. We called but couldn’t communicate so we had to take a taxi back the first night (it was less than $10 USD, so not a huge deal). The next day we had a different driver tell us exactly where they would pick us up, so it was much better the next 2 days.

Check out process took a while, as we were checking out while people were checking in and here were only 2 people at the counter assisting. That was the only bad part about the hotel

**make sure to sign up for a spot on the shuttle the night before, otherwise it will be full and you won’t get on**

Overall this hotel was great and we would definitely stay here again if we ever came back to Shanghai.

Room tip: reserve a seat on the bus to Disney the night before. book a room with a balcony

The hotel team was cooperative and as the hotel is away from city, we had to take the service of concierge team quite often. The concierge team Captain Mr Justin is always there to understand your issues and solve them with great expertise. His fluency of language and understanding of the need was the main respite in the hotel which is located very isolated, otherwise.

Though hotel provides transfer services to Pudong Airport and SNIEC, still it is tucked away in the suburbs of the city and is only good location for Disney visitors.

The front desk team has a difficulty in understanding the English.

The rooms are dry and does not provide cosy feeling and the windows are little in size so you feel claustrophobic sometimes.

The room service staff is pleasant and ready to serve always.

The evenings and nights are scary of you want to move around as there is nothing in the surroundings.

To avoid if you are business traveller.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I want to pay tribute to the concierge Justin Yang. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Getting me into my room 3 hours early after taking the red eye flight from Prague. He offered me great service throughout my stay. Also I would like to commend the server in the restaurant Mary for making me feel so welcome. A wonderful stay overall!!
