Driving back to the Naples area I elected to return to the Fort Conde Inn.
This time I stayed in a suite. Very Nice. Very large and super clean.
I arrived around 7 pm and Ashley did a great job in showing me the suite after checking me in.
Breakfast was outstanding. I had the seafood egg Benedict. Egg was poached to perfection, seafood was local (shrimp and crab) and the sauce light but full of flavor. Great job Chef Robbie.
I had called the night before to request a couple of sandwiches for the road trip the next day. Grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato, chees with a home made aioli spread. Chips, cookies a trail mix added to round out a lunch for just me! It was more than enough.
What a great place and what great value. Amanda sent me on the way after check out in the morning as was nice enough to retrieve my little soft cooler bag and mail it to me. Talk about looking out for your guests!

We stayed in Mobile driving through from Florida to Texas and are really happy we found this lovely historic inn. The service we received was top notch. The breakfast in the morning by their executive chef was tremendous! Thank you for a fabulous experience. We will return!

Our friends wedding was held outside in front of the Ft Conde Inn.
A fantastic old world setting. The Inn, cottages & houses are 1800's but restored
w/out losing their charm. The staff made this event special by helping with every detail.
The breakfast was excellent & special request were welcomed. We plan to stay during Mardi Gras
because of the central location, staff, breakfast & overall wonderful experience that weekend.

This hotel oozes style, everything was just about perfect! The room was beautiful with very stylish furniture. The bathroom however was on the small size and lacked a walk-in shower but the toiletries were top class. The bedroom didn’t have a safe, which was surprising.

This is a beautiful hotel in downtown Mobile, near Fort Conde, Mardi Gras Park, and the Visitor's Center. The building dates back to 1836. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Ample parking is available at no extra charge. Breakfasts are included and are very good. We stayed in the main building, room 1, beautifully done with lots of room and a king-sized bed. No microwave or frig in the main house, but the carriage house rooms have these. Cookies are available downstairs. There is an elevator in the building as well. We did have a clogged toilet, but that was rapidly fixed. Overall, an excellent experience!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Fort Conde Inn, Alabama's only 4-star, AAA four diamond rated boutique hotel and bed and breakfast, is a luxurious facility exuding the style and feel of nineteenth century Mobile. Requiring two years of meticulous workmanship, the Inn has now been restored to its original Victorian splendor. Built in 1836, the Fort Conde Inn (Hall-Ford House) is Mobile’s second oldest house and its interior and exterior finishes reflect its architectural vintage from original heart pine flooring and custom-milled stairways, moldings, and window and door trim to marble fireplace mantles, plaster walls, 12 foot ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The Fort Conde Inn, located in Mobile's historic Fort Conde Village, has recently expanded to include four newly restored hisorically certified homes: The Antunez House, the Spear-Barter House, as well as the Blakely and Gonzalez cottages. Walking into the Inn today, is like taking a step back in time to when these homes were originally built. The Inn sits on a quiet street in Fort Conde Village surrounded by Victorian homes restored with integrity and respect for their architectural heritage. It is situated adjacent to Fort Conde, a pre-revolutionary war fort built by the French in 1720 and named after the Prince of Conde, a grandson of Luis XIV. Mobile was founded by the French and the fort protected Mobile from incursions by the British. In recognition of the French heritage of this land, the rooms at the Inn have been named in French after friends and family members of the owner. ... more   less
