Well documented introduction to Islam in general, and its history with Malacca.
The objects and boards would deserve a serious display upgrading, including the interesting texts, generally too small to go through, some even covered with fungi.
The building is a brilliant example of Dutch architecture with Malay and Chinese influence, nicely restored, especially the gallery at the 1st storey.

Besides the history of local Muslim in Melaka, i enjoyed its architecture pretty much. A line of windows on the first floor is a smart design to get the air to cool down the building.

For a westerner who knows little about Islam, the museum provided a good insight into the history of Islam in Malaysia, and something of its culture. There's plenty so see and the entry price is small.

Small building with a decent-sized collection of Islamic artifacts, and plenty of information about Islamic culture. The artifacts themselves look very nice and cover a wide variety of mediums, from practical objects like teacups and vases to religious texts and similar items. The outer area is nicely landscaped too and is a good place to rest for a few minutes. While this museum isn't as large as some other Islamic museums in Malaysia (such as the huge one in Kuala Lumpur), it's still worth a look to those in the area who are interested in Islamic culture.
