Amazing guest house.. cool deco... spacious!! can almost run around the entire place... not to mention the great location - 5mins walk to the famous jonker walk... Gus, the owner of the place.. was super friendly! we were lost on our way there, and was freaking late for the check in timing.. he waited for us almost in wee hours.. great guy... brought us to hidden gems in melaka! its not just a jonker walk that is great to explore... we see a different side of melaka cuz of him..

Thanks Gus!

Knock knock home sits just behind the main street, and is a stone throw away from many attractions, especially FOOD! We were warmly welcomed by Gus, and he showed us the way to our room, which really blew my mind. The place was so artistically decorated, with a fushion of zen and modern comtemporary. Large enough to comfortably house 6 of us. This place literally is where you want to be if you really want to experience the melaka life. Gus made sure we were well taken care off, and his zest for life inspired me to appreciate what I have. This man isn't your ordinary guest house owner. He showed me how to enjoy life. We were there as visitors, and we left as friends. Thumbs up!

Best,
Al

I found Knocknock on the internet and had always wanted the opportunity to visit , well at last i did and I can honestly say that i enjoyed every minute of my time.

The hosts Gus & Augustus make this place truly wonderful, nothing is too much , within minutes you feel like your staying at your friend's place.

The guest accommodation is the upper part of a turn of the century shop house situated in a very quiet side street beside Kampung Jawa bridge . It is nicely furnished , i loved the decor , use of green and primary colours, big comfortable King Coil mattress , large living area . with TV, HOME CINEMA , LOTS OF BOOKS, DINING TABLE , LARGE BATHROOM ,

It can accommodate up to 6 people but i feel would be most comfortable with four and is also perfect for a couple who want privacy and plenty space.

Gus is so enthusiastic about Melaka ,if it wasn't for him ..i would have missed out a lot of the best things to see and do in the area. One word of advice - try and come midweek ..weekends in Melaka are now so busy .

Saying that , you can avoid the crowds by staying clear of the very touristy Jonkers and Heeren St area .and head to little india or other parts of town , where old industries and markets can still be seen and explored.

The Baboon House is a great place to relax and have lunch or coffee .

Forget about the MONORAIL ..a total waste of money ..only has too stops and ends in a derelict area of town . Why does Malaysia spend money on such projects without proper thinking .

I would highly recommend Knocknock Home and cant wait to return

In the last 1 year we've been to Malacca twice and both the times we had the pleasure of staying with Gus and Augustus at Knock Knock homes. I remember the first time I got there with a couple of my friends and Gus led us to the room on top, and I was thrilled, one entire floor for the 4 of us. It was perfect for two couples. Gus also took us around the old quarters and showed us the old church A'famosa.

They were very gracious host and also treated us with amazing char siew in the morning for breakfast, which I still dream of sometimes :)

Thanks Gus for showing us around and taking us to some impressive cafe's. If you want to experience Malacca with local flavor, Gus is your guy. He is very connected and knows the best haunts in Malacca.
