Visited Malacca many times but this time we decided to bring our guest from China to stay in this Heritage Hotel. The services provided by the staff especially Omar was something to mention about. The rooms were clean and cozy. The delicious breakfast served at their sister hotel was also another point to mention about.

Room: Super deluxe room

Length: 3D2N

Cons:

1. The water heater didnt work in the first room given, so they made us more to another room at 10.30pm. Found out next morning that the water heater in the new room didnt work either. And they neither bothered fixing the heater (inspite us asking them to ensure that they did) nor did they offered to compensate for the absence of hot water.

2. The second room they moved us to had far lesser usable space than the first due to the pitched roof. Was small for 3 adults and 2 kids. Fridge was located on the upper level whilst drinks making facilities on the lower floor.

3. Ridiculously slow wifi.

4. Window blinds were broken, letting light in the morning and obstructing view to the roof terrace - asked them to fix, again they didnt bother to.

Pros

1. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive except for the lady in the main desk who didnt bother addressing the broken heater ajd couldn't care less.

2. Nice interiors and building.

3. Quiet yet central.

Viewed from the front the hotel looks very small. However, when entering into the area is quite spacious. Because of the four of us we took super deluxe room with 2 queen beds in 1 room. The room is designed with mezzanine, upstairs for the bedroom and under for the bathroom. For breakfast is not in this hotel building but in Hereen Palm Hotel located opposite of this hotel.
From the hotel to the city center and Jongker street can be reached by about 15 minutes walk.
The hotel staff is very friendly and pleasant to stay at this hotel.

I stayed in Vista Room for only a night. The room consists of ground floor and upper floor layout. Toilet at ground floor and they do has a sofa bed at ground floor that can sleep one person, and a big bed at upper floor. Love the room and bed, nice private balcony situated upper floor. The staff Mr Saiful was very helpful and polite. Simple breakfast will be serve at the sister hotel "Heeren Palm Suite" located opposite of the hotel. Overall was great. Will visit again.

Likes:
The bed was firm, offers good back support. Room size was great.
A lot of room for the kids to roam around. Location was about 8mins walk to the Jonker.
Hassen's service was prompt. When checking in, we were served with a chilled guava drink and cold towels.

Dislikes:
They kept the lights off during the day time.
Would have been better if they left it on as the corridors can be a bit dim even during the day.
Sound proofing needs to be improved. Can hear the streets traffic.
Price included a complimentary Hi-Tea (very basic) but we were not informed at the time of booking.
Breakfast is also pretty basic but at this price, its okay.
One of the small pillows on the bed has a very bad smell.

Room tip: Avoid the rooms facing the street, try to get one that is along the corridor.
