We stayed at Casa Severina for three nights. All the staff, from the security guard to housekeeping, were friendly, attentive and incredibly professional. They obliged our requests to get bikes and book cabs with no fuss.
The hotel facilities, especially the pool, were maintained very well. The pool is far larger than most average hotels, relative to the number of rooms this place has.
The rooms were done up in a traditional Goan style. They were spacious, airy and clean. There were lots of thoughtful touches that are generally missing in other hotels for this price- complimentary slippers, dental kits, personal hygiene kits.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good. It’s a short walk to the main road and about 7 minutes to the beach. The beach leads to a more secluded side of Calangute, and its generally close enough to the hustle without having to hear it constantly.
The only downside I could mention is the sheets were a bit worn and the fridge didn’t work too well.
Other than that, it was an excellent stay.More
