This Govt. owned property is located at Calangute beach only. The location is excellent; there are several beach facing rooms, the Arabian Sea can be viewed from those rooms’ balconies. There are two buildings, the old building has nice beach-facing rooms and suits. The new building has the cottages, which are a bit away from the beach and no sea-facing room is available in the cottage option.
The complimentary breakfast option is available, but currently the dining area is closed due to pandemic situation. The hotel has a tie-up with the nearby ‘Sagar’ restaurant, from where the breakfast can be delivered at room. But, the restaurant is horrible with lot of waiting time (although the food is cheap). It will be better to take the breakfast in nearby shops.
The beach is just 2 minutes’ walk; plenty of (veg/non-veg) restaurants, different shops (wine shops, tattoo shops, souvenir shops) are available nearby. The staffs are good, and helpful. If you need some outstation cabs (for travelling to South Goa/other parts), ask the staffs for cabs/taxis. They will help you in arranging cabs at a reasonable rate. Note that the location is the one of the most popular spots in Goa, and bike/cab rates vary with demand. Bargaining should be done accordingly.More
