Amazing experience, amazing place, amazing hosts, superb food, home like feeling, great villa, seamless service.
Had a wonderful experience. Was with my family there. A very peaceful place with trees and plantations all around. The villa itself is quite old yet beautifully maintained. The caretakers were also very friendly and took good care of us. The food they prepared was really good. The pool is also well maintained. You will find a lot of birds around. Try exploring the nearby area, it's a bird lovers paradise.
If you fancy a quiet staycation, this is the villa for you. It’s an 108 year old villa but has all modern day amenities. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Charles the owner is also very helpful with directions to the property and nearby things to do.
Perfect place to get away from the hustle of the North Goa and if you have a car, the city is 40 mins away which is okay in terms of goa!!
The pool is large and well maintained. I don’t know how but even with lots of greenery around, the villa doesn’t have pests. So amazing job on that.
The location and the place is amazing. Enjoyed every bit of the stay. Since its on the island the beach is so close by and thus one can choose between chilling in the pool or dipping their toes in the beach. Hosts were very friendly and take care of everything. Overall as a group of people travelled it was an amazing place to stay.
Casa Bottu is a great place for a large group to go and unwind for a few days amidst greenery and serenity. This place is ideal for a group or a family that loves peaceful places far from the madding crowd and is not to be mistaken for a place to go party. The area where the villa is situated is absolutely quiet and peaceful with neighbours that do not wish to hear your speakers blaring "karr gayi chull" at 2 am in the morning. Please visit this place only if your group is peace-loving and would want to unwind amidst nature for a few days.
The beautiful and grand St. Bartholomew's Church is right opposite the villa and it is a beautiful place to take some insta-worthy shots. The best part about this place is definitely the fact that it is so close to Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Please speak to Charles (the owner of the villa, who is always more than eager to help out with anything that you would need) about all the local attractions that are available.
The villa itself is HUGE to say the least and us being a group of 5 felt like we could get lost in the house so I think it's best for a group of 7-10 people. The pool area is very well maintained with the right amount of chlorine added to the pool. The bedrooms are beautiful and spacious. The over-all architecture of the place is in the classic indo-portuguese style. There's lots of open area around the villa to take leisurely strolls and the caretaker of the property - Vishnu is a very sweet guy who will cook up a nice homely meal for you if you order ahead and also help out with anything that you'd need during your stay at Casa Bottu.
We had an amazing 3 days at the villa and we were left feeling very attached to the place by the end of it. We hope to visit again in the near future for a longer duration!
