Recently visited coco shambhala with a few girl friends for their exclusive spa days.. what an amazing experience it was, you almost feel like you are in Tahiti or something with their lush tropical vibes going on! So what it is, is they reserve an entire villa for you and your friends or family for the day where in each villa basically has two bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs with a jet pool as well, and upstairs is the private dining and lounge and kitchen, the entire feeling is that if a rustic contemporary design!
You get a cocktail of the day with some ginger food like we had zucchini chips and then you can indulge in your free massage for an hour of your choice, now they have a single couple room with a couple that massages you, the spa room is equipped with a steam in the shower area, after the massage we came to the villa and sat down for lunch which by the way was the most delicious lunch I had eaten in a long time in Goa, from salad to lasagna to dessert it was just mouth watering, I would go back just for that meal and table setting! Then we decided to head for a quick swim and photoshoot lol, the pool is in such a gorgeous setting it’s stunning I love it , we ended our day by the jet pool in the villa with some tea and gossip! The whole experience was simply wonderful! I def recommend a spa daycation to you guys and they have a monsoon offer going on now too, if you wanna book yourself with family and friends! Love it

Our family spent 4 memorable nites and we hated leaving the very
hospitable team led by Lumen. Every detail of our stay was so well taken care of ,the breakfasts and dinner so yummy n that too "made to order "they made us feel like true royalty !4 villas tucked into lush greenery far from the madding crowd, a pool just outside yr villa and a private jet pool inside made the stay relaxing n rejuvenating. Kudos to Giles for having created such an dream environment!

We booked one of the 4 villas on the property which is nestled away in a quiet neighbourhood just 10 mins from sequeirim beach.

It feels like you are staying as a guest in a friends home where your every need is pampered to. The staff led by Suresh literally provide anything you ask for that too with warmth and a smile.

This is not your typical partying experience of visiting goa with loud music and noisy bars but rather for the discerning visitors to this lovely state that want peace and quiet...read a book or laze in the pool or jacuzzi and drink a glass of wine.

Party goers and noisy kids stay away! Book lovers welcome!!

There are hotels and guesthouses, and then there's Coco Shambala. We had read fabulous reviews and a friend had stayed there in the past, but still, we were swept off our feet. While the grounds are gorgeous and the villas are beautifully done up, it is the staff that truly make it magical.

We arrived at 4 am and Savio was there at the gate to welcome us. We looked sleepy and were probably grumpy, but he was in full attention, almost what you'd expect of someone in the morning. He showed us our rooms and took us through the important stuff. Just as we were turning in for the night, we noticed a common lizard that had jumped onto the bed. We called Savio who immediately showed up with another member of staff. They looked everywhere and made all possible effort to get the lizard, but it had just disappeared.

Another day we ordered gin and tonic and they were out of gin. They didn't tell us, but instead sent out one of their boys to go and buy a bottle.

The food is a highlight. Goan specialities were better than those I've eaten in any restaurant in Goa. I was ordering food for the kids, and one of the staff (sadly I'm forgetting his name) said that they had fresh bhindi and they could make something nice for the kids. I loved this personal touch. They always came up with suggestions on what they could make using what they had fresh, and my god, they always served something spectacular. Their continental food was outstanding. We had some of the best ravioli ever!

They had laid out a big table so we could have all our meals together and during dinner time they would set out flowers and put tealights to make it special.

Breakfast was spectacular too, with fresh juices, fresh poi and whatever else we asked for.

We had a car and driver at our disposal which was such a blessing because things in Goa can be spread out.

The rooms were always well maintained as were the common areas. Unlike a hotel, where rooms would get cleaned once, here there was always someone tidying up.

I don't think I'd ever want to stay somewhere else in Goa!

My family and I stayed here at the end of February. I can only reiterate what others are saying about the service, food, quiet and convenience (car). A little slice of heaven. If one can transcend the '5 star resort' paradigm, this is the place to be at.
