Relaxing beach - rocky outcrops. Sea is so warm and quite calm at this beach (March).

“Excellent beach, less crowded”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

The beach is good with good sand and a fort nearby which was also site in a famous bollywood movie. U can hike to the fort or use another path to shorten the distance. There are lesser number of visitors compared to other beaches of Goa.

“Far end of Little Vagator is the nicest part”
Reviewed 17 March 2012

Been here many times and agree with many other reviewers. This beach has great character and IMO the nicest part is the very far end where you'll find the famous rock carving of Lord Shiva.
On arrival at the clifftop car park, Little Vagator is the beach to the left. The one to the right is the more popular with coach parties, perhaps because the sand is slightly better and it's less rocky.
However, it's Little Vagator's rocky ruggedness that make it (arguably) the most attractive beach in North Goa. Although there are sellers here, there's far less hassle and it's much quieter that the beaches further south at Anjuna, Baga and Calangute.
Definitely worth the cost of the taxi fare if you're staying in North Goa.

“Wonderful Beaches Drawing More Crowds”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

Vagator Beach is actually three beaches with the largest, main beach to the south. Little Vagator is to the north with a smaller, quieter beach north of that. These beaches are broken by small rocky outcrops which are easily walked across. The main beach has plenty of beach cafes and accommodation. The northern beaches have fewer facilities.
The sand is clean, orange-colored. The ocean is warm and usually has small waves in the main season Nov-March. Monsoon season June-Sept can be rough.
Above the northern beach are the remains of an old Portuguese fort which can be climbed up to explore. Below the fort on the inland, estuary side is the small fishing village of Chapora which can easily be walked to from Vagator Beach.

“Best beach in North Goa”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

Vagator beach is undoubtedly the best beach in North Goa. This beach is very clean, has rocky boundaries to give you perfect scenic beauty and has amazing shacks for relaxation and enjoyment. There is also a fort nearby the beach which is worth visiting. This place is not very crowded and is one of the favorite destinations for foreign tourists. This place gets lonely during nights and you won't find much night life over here. In all, a must see beach in North Goa.
