If you are bringing a child to college in the Normal/Huntsville area, this is a wonderful hotel to stay. It is located in the "outskirts" of the colleges, but if you have a car, I loved the peaceful location. There are still restaurants, gas stations, etc close by. Maurice at the front desk was extremely nice, the room and bathroom were very clean, everything in great working condition. The only downfall was a "rowdy" group that came in a room close to ours at about 2 am, however that is not the hotels fault. I did tell the girl at the front desk the next morning and she said, "Do not hesitate to ever call us when there is any disturbance and we will take care of it" Breakfast choices were many...yogurt, applesauce, fresh fruits, a variety of cold cereals and oatmeals, bagels, toast, pastries, the orange juice was delicious! ...coffee and more. I was quite impressed. Perfect to grab something to get the day started. I highly recommend this hotel. Theresa L. St. Louis, MO

This hotel is fairly new, not close to anything in particular, but also not far from central Huntsville. Rooms are nicely appointed, though smaller than some hotels are building these days.

Breakfast was the usual breads, cereals, pastries, and muffins, along with juices, teas, and coffee. There was a decaf coffee pot, but no decaf coffee in it, and it did not appear there had been in it.

Many people staying there the night we were there had dogs. This meant that you could hear dogs barking from time to time, although we were not disturbed when we were trying to sleep. People traveling with pets need places to stay, too. So I don't quarrel with that.

However, there were no signs or other prohibitions against bringing pets into the dining area. One woman actully allowed her cocker spaniel to stand up and put its paws on the counter where the food was, right after the dog had been outside walking around where the dogs do their business.

I did suggest when we were leaving that pets should not be allowed in the dining area, and a sign should be posted to that effect.

I would consider staying here again, but I confess I did not enjoy the concept of dogs in the eating area.

We were greeted at the front desk by Kayla, who has to be the sweetest person we've
ever met at at any Hotel desk, and we've stayed all over the country.
She looks and talks like young Sally Field in Gidget films from the 60s and she simply bowled us over with her attitude and kindness.
The lobby and room are absolutely spotless and everything from the 75 cent sodas and ice cream bars in the lobby,to the air on in the COOLED ROOM when we arrived, are GRADE A+
Hotels.com has 23 great reviews and no bad ones, so only a competitor would leave some of the garbage seen in a couple of the dumb reviews left for this fantastic Inn!

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was really spacious and well-maintained. Breakfast in the lobby was nice.
Be aware, next to the front of the hotel on the right side is a big manufacturing plant with a huge and noisy "something" you can hear clearly outside. So check out your room first. Our room was on the other end and backside of the hotel and we couldn't hear anything in our room.

Positives:
* Decent Bed
* Free HBO
* Close proximity to numerous fast food locations, and 565.

Negatives:
* Sluggish and/or Apathetic Staff (Front Desk)
* Incompetent Staff (Maid Service, goofing off downstairs for hours at a time between rooms)
* Damaged/Old Equipment (Clock was burned, phone was very old, the only luggage rack)
* Elevator of Doom (Every time we approached the 3rd floor it sounded like a horror movie)
* Room Size (Two feet around the bed, maybe 2.5 ft, at most. One chair. For two people.)
* Exposed Wiring (Bathroom Light Fixture was exposed)
* Location (Near an industrial complex and train track)
* Non-professional Attitude (any basic request was received with a easily perceived air or grudging acceptance.)

We stayed for a week, and that was a week too long. If we had not pre-paid, we would have went elsewhere. Unless you are a business traveler looking for a room close to this location, I would recommend staying away. It is not worth what they charged, sadly.
